CNN —Three men’s lacrosse players at Tufts University remain hospitalized after a voluntary, supervised 45-minute workout with a Navy SEAL graduate left them with a dangerous condition called rhabdomyolysis, the university said. A spokesperson for the university previously said five remained hospitalized. All have been evaluated by medical professionals, with a total of nine requiring hospitalization for rhabdomyolysis (rhabdo),” Collins said in an updated statement Monday. “The university continues to closely monitor the condition of the team, and some individual team members have been medically cleared to resume training,” Collins said. “A typical time of year when we see it in athletes is in the off-season, or getting ramped back up,” Sikka, who also serves as a team physician for the New York Yankees, told CNN.

In theory, these poll numbers should yield more accurate results, since the people who actually vote are the ones who dictate the outcome on Election Day. After all, how exactly can a pollster know who is “likely” to vote, and who therefore will be the focus of their results? The choices they make are important, because the results of likely-voter polls can differ from those that sample a wider population, such as everyone who is registered to vote. In a close race like this year’s presidential contest, one candidate might lead in a poll among likely voters, while another might lead in the same poll’s tally of registered voters.

Four top staff members of Mark Robinson's campaign for North Carolina governor have stepped down, the campaign announced Sunday as the candidate faces calls from Republicans to do the same. It could be time to rethink popular portfolio strategies for a lower interest rate environment. The Federal Reserve's half-percent rate cut on Wednesday marked the first time in more than four years it moved to lower the benchmark interest rate. According to VanEck CEO Jan van Eck, investors should start thinking about how the changing macro environment will affect their investments in the year ahead. "We're going to be in an easing cycle, so small-cap companies are going to be benefited by lower interest rates," the firm's chief ETF strategist said. With rates finally beginning to fall, van Eck points to the federal deficit as the next potential challenge for markets.
