Vice President Kamala Harris also joined the call, a White House official said. A readout is expected to be released by the White House later Thursday afternoon. The Israeli official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to the media, also told CNN that Netanyahu will convene a cabinet meeting Thursday night. The condition is relatively rare — up to 10 out of 100,000 people in the general population may experience it — but the doctors noted three cases in one week, and each of those patients was taking semaglutide medications. The risk was found to be greatest within the first year of receiving a prescription for semaglutide. Semaglutide prescriptions have soared in the US, which could raise the number of people at risk for a potential side effect. CNN —A federal appeals court ruled on Monday that white supremacist and nationalist groups will have to pay a more than $2 million in punitive damages to people who suffered physical or emotional injuries from the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. In 2021, a jury ruled white nationalist leaders and organizations had to pay more than $26 million in damages to those who suffered injuries from the rally. The “Unite the Right” rally was a two-day event to protest the city’s plan to remove a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee. Circuit Court of Appeals found a state law which caps the total dollar amount of punitive damages each person can receive to $350,000, court documents show. US and Israeli officials are still in the process of nailing down logistical details for the Biden-Netanyahu meeting, which would likely take place at the White House, the source said. A White House official told CNN that Biden has known Netanyahu for decades, and that “they will likely see each other when the Prime Minister is here over the course of that week. Thousands of posts using the slogan “white boy summer” have appeared on the Telegram app this year. It’s been used by far-right groups to recruit new followers, organize protests and encourage violence, especially against immigrants and L.G.B.T.Q. people, the report said. For many of those who use it now, the phrase represents an unapologetic embrace of white heterosexual masculinity, often at the expense of women and people of color.

Post-pandemic revenge spending is still continuing, but in one part of the world there's something starkly opposite happening — revenge saving. Rather than splurging on impulsive purchases, China's young are saving ferociously as the world's second-largest economy remains in the doldrums. Revenge saving has become a trend on Chinese social media websites, with Chinese youth setting extreme monthly saving targets. "Chinese youth have a revenge savings mentality," said China Market Research Group's Managing Director Shaun Rein. "Unlike youths in the 2010s who often spent more than they earned and borrowed money to buy fancy items like Gucci handbags and Apple iPhone, young Chinese have started saving more," he told CNBC.
