CNN —A manhunt is underway in north London for a man suspected of being armed with a crossbow, after three women were killed Tuesday evening. Police said they were searching for a 26-year-old man, named as Kyle Clifford, in connection with the deaths, who could be in north London or the neighboring county of Hertfordshire. Police were called to a house in Bushey, Hertfordshire, on Tuesday evening, where they found three seriously injured women. All the women, who are believed to be related, later died from their injuries, according to police. British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has said she is being kept “fully updated” by police on the ongoing manhunt.

Naval analyst Carl Schuster, a former US Navy captain, said it would take Iran four to six months to repair the ship once it can be refloated. The Sahand is the most recent ship to carry that name for the Iranian navy. A U.S. marshal on a Supreme Court security detail shot and wounded an armed man who tried to carjack him early Friday near Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s home in northwest Washington, according to court documents. The marshal was sitting in an unmarked federal vehicle when a silver Toyota minivan pulled over next to him, according to court documents. CNN —A United Airlines plane lost a wheel while taking off Monday from Los Angeles International Airport, officials said, marking the latest issue this year for the airline, which was already the focus of a safety review by federal aviation officials. The Boeing 757-200 that lost its wheel completed its planned flight to Denver, where it safely landed, United said. “The wheel has been recovered in Los Angeles, and we are investigating what caused this event,” the airline said in a statement. The incident comes months after another United Airlines flight lost a wheel while taking off from San Francisco International Airport, damaging several cars in a parking lot. The incident was one of at least a dozen involving United Airlines flights in March, according to a CNN analysis, prompting CEO Scott Kirby to send a safety message to customers.
