Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has reduced its stake in Bank of America to below 10% amid a selling spree that started in mid-July. The move brings his holdings down to 775 million shares, or a stake of about 9.987%. Since the holding is now under the key 10% threshold, Berkshire is no longer required to report its related transactions in a timely manner. The next 13F filing in mid-November will only reveal Berkshire's equity holdings as of the end of September. Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan previously said the market is absorbing the stock, aided by the bank's own repurchasing.

In early 2024, Kelly Diehr and her husband set out to buy their first home in Denver. With no kids, six-figure income and a budget of $600,000, the couple felt like they were in a solid position to afford a single detached home where they could raise a family. However, like many first-time buyers, they were disappointed by what they could afford, as median home prices almost immediately started rising from $599,000 to $639,000 between January and May, according to Realtor.com. And like many first-time buyers, the couple were forced to compromise by stretching their budget far beyond what they originally planned. Such concessions are common in new developments, where developers often need to sell units quickly — even in a competitive market like Denver.

CNN —For the first time in its 147-year history, Wimbledon will be removing line judges from all of its courts during the tournament. The All England Club announced on Wednesday that from the 2025 championships onwards, electronic line calling (ELC) will be used after it was successfully tested in 2024. ELC will replace the line judges who call “out” or “fault” during a match and will also be used in Wimbledon qualifying ahead of the tournament. Wimbledon successfully trialed the technology at this year's championships. Wimbledon’s adoption of the technology leaves the clay-court French Open as the only remaining grand slam yet to implement ELC.

One patron pulled pricing data and found some wide differences between Chipotle locations. It shows that the same meal can cost up to 40% more at some Chipotle locations than others. "Me and my friends loved going to Chipotle," Cohen said. It's common for prices to vary at US restaurants depending on the cost of living where they're situated. A five-minute drive away, another Chipotle location was charging $10.95 for the same order when Cohen pulled the data.

Heart failure is a more severe form of heart disease, in which the heart is too weak to pump enough blood and oxygen to the body’s organs. Neither Harris nor Trump outline specific disaster-relief policies on their website. When he was president, Trump responded to several hurricanes. "A charitable interpretation would be mixed on crisis management," Birkland told BI about Trump's past responses to natural disasters. Presidents are somewhat limited in their disaster responses — both Kneeland and Birkland told BI that states and local governments lead disaster responses, with the federal government's assistance.

All four drugs are in a class of wildly popular weight loss drugs known as GLP-1s. In the United Kingdom, authorities last year seized hundreds of counterfeit Ozempic pens — insulin pens that had been relabeled as Ozempic. Counterfeit weight loss drugs have serious health risks, according to the pharmaceutical companies and federal officials. Counterfeiters are already trying to cash in on a weight loss drug that the company hasn't even put on the market yet: retatrutide. But it's also one of the epicenters of the lucrative counterfeit drug trade, according to U.S. authorities who track counterfeit drugs.

Generally, homeowners say reputation is the most important factor when hiring a contractor (25%), followed by experience (23%), cost (19%), personal recommendations (13%), availability (11%) and estimated project timeline (10%). These viruses, however, are not the kind that will give you the common cold or flu (or worse). It’s amazing how much untapped biodiversity is all around us.”The study identified more than 600 viruses found in the samples taken from showerheads and toothbrushes. And for every bacterium, there’s potentially tens or hundreds or even thousands of viruses that infect it,” Hartmann said, noting that viruses mutate very quickly, too. She hypothesized that a bacterium in your mouth could transfer to your toothbrush, taking its viruses with it – and these could keep evolving on the toothbrush. “Microbes are everywhere all the time … We wouldn’t be able to digest our food or fend off infection if we didn’t have our microbes,” Hartmann said.

The severe solar storm, classified as a level 4 on a scale from 1 to 5, also could disrupt communications, the power grid and satellite operations, according to officials at the center. “Geomagnetic storms can impact infrastructure in near-Earth orbit and on Earth’s surface,” according to the Space Weather Prediction Center. But if the storm escalates to a G5, auroras could be visible across southern states and elsewhere around the world. Before then, the last G5 storm to hit Earth was in 2003, resulting in power outages in Sweden and damaging power transformers in South Africa. The solar storm in May was the most successfully mitigated space weather storm in history, Dahl said.
