Nike’s new Olympic outfit designs for the US women and men were revealed last week, and the track and field uniforms have rightly been met with intense criticism. Just look at what Caitlin Clark, Dawn Staley and this year’s women collegiate basketball players did for the NCAA. For the uninitiated, prior to the settlement the women were earning as little as 40% of what the men were paid, despite winning four World Cup championships. A woman, Simone Biles, is the most decorated gymnast of all time, winning an astounding 37 World and Olympic medals… and she’s not done competing. Instead, while male athletes are simply referred to as “athletes,” we are “women athletes” who must shave and trim, wax and pluck our way into the hearts and minds of… men.

CNN —Cristiano Ronaldo was red carded for elbowing an opponent during Al-Nassr’s defeat against Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup semifinal. Sadio Mané did score for Al-Nassr following Ronaldo’s departure, but earlier goals from Salem Al-Dawsari and Malcom gave Al-Hilal a 2-1 victory. There was no way back for Al-Nassr from there, despite Mané’s consolation goal after Ronaldo’s red card. The defeat on Monday means that Ronaldo and Al-Nassr are likely to end this season without a trophy. Al-Hilal will now face Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup final in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

Uranium stocks outperformed the broader equity market in 2023, with the Global X Uranium ETF (URA) gaining nearly 38% for the year. We think the recent volatility in uranium stocks presents an opportunity to take advantage of their cyclical uptrend. This applies to the Sprott Uranium Miners ETF (URNM) as well, which completed a basing phase (i.e., the "cup") last November that we featured on X . A breakout above $31.30 would complete URA's cup-and-handle pattern in a long-term bullish development, supporting its cyclical and secular uptrend. URA is the largest uranium ETF, with $3.2 billion in assets, and it has a reasonable expense ratio (0.69%).
