GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A 10-year-old Florida boy and his 11-year-old sister who were running away to California drove 200 miles (320 kilometers) in their mother's car before they were stopped by sheriff's deputies on an interstate highway, authorities said. The Alachua County Sheriff's Office says deputies spotted the sedan on Interstate 75 near Gainesville in north Florida just before 4 a.m. Thursday. The children's mother had reported it stolen and her children missing four hours earlier in North Port, a city in southwest Florida. The deputies, thinking that they were dealing with car thieves, drew their guns and ordered those inside the car to step out. CNN —Serena Williams’ former coach Patrick Mouratoglou came away from his first meeting with a 10-year-old Coco Gauff convinced that she was destined for greatness. Gauff and Mouratoglou have known each other for almost 10 years and worked together in an unofficial capacity ahead of this year's French Open. Defendant Andrew Lester was charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action for shooting Ralph Yarl, 16, on the doorstep of his suburban home on April 13. Derna, Libya CNN —It’s quiet at the Tartoba cemetery outside the Libyan city of Derna, despite the presence of dozens of volunteers. In his will, Berlusconi, who died aged 86 in June, handed Marina and Pier Silvio, the offspring from his first marriage, joint control of his media and financial empire held by family holding company Fininvest. Under their pact, Marina and Pier Silvio, each owning a 26% indirect stake in Fininvest, agreed to consult at least five days before any Fininvest shareholder meeting to agree a joint position, the documents showed. The agreement secures a dominant influence of the eldest heirs over the family holding company, the regulatory filings said. All of the heirs agreed a lock-up period of five years, during which time they have pledged not to alter the stakes they hold in Fininvest, the filings showed.
