The week starts off with a bevy of unpleasant surprises for the markets and the economy but with maybe a hope of good news on the inflation front. “The decline in oil prices will feature prominently in explaining October's CPI and PPI reports. Core CPI likely slowed in October as well, with lower prices of new and used cars, lower airfares, and lower shelter costs all leaning the same way. PPI inflation likely moderated in October, too, with diesel prices following crude oil prices lower, albeit not by as much as gasoline. "We will pursue our partnership with military equipment, notably for the transport of troops protected by armour, which is key to maintain patrols," he said, adding that several dozen armoured vehicles would be given to the Lebanese army soon. "Our support for the Lebanese army is for the long-term whatever the current difficulties," Lecornu added. It’s easy to forget how much we used to rely on real, physical paper and, like, other people to buy basic things. It wasn’t all that long ago that you’d call a travel agent to book a flight. But the sellers argued that in a competitive market, the buyers should pay their own agent’s commission, and negotiate that fee separately. Because even though the NAR says fees are negotiable, the industry has made 5%-6% commissions so standard that most people wouldn’t question it. Nov 6 - Palo Alto Networks (PANW.O) said on Monday it intends to buy Israeli startup Talon Cyber Security, as it looks to beef up its cyber security offering to enterprises. Founded in 2021, Talon provides secure browser and security tools to manage access to client servers from third-party and personal devices. The acquisition proposal follows a series of investments by Palo Alto in Israeli firms, which includes various buyouts of local companies since 2012. Most recently, it agreed to acquire Israeli cloud security startup Dig Security for an undisclosed amount. Talon's CEO Ofer Ben-Noon described Palo Alto as an "ideal partner," according to the press release.

The FSIS said that Tyson had recalled around 29,819 pounds of the dinosaur-shaped nuggets, which is around 16,500 packets. In September, the US Department of Labor announced they were investigating Tyson Foods and Perdue Farms, another major poultry producer, over the reports. The Tyson family has become one of the country's richest families, but Tyson Foods announced earlier this year that it was shutting four of its chicken plants as it sought to cut costs amid falling demand.

CNN —Australian police have arrested a woman who served a lunch in late July that led to the deaths of three people from suspected death cap mushroom poisoning. Victoria Police confirmed a 49-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the case. CNN affiliate Nine News said Patterson was arrested at her home in the town of Leongatha in southern Victoria. In the same statement she claimed she bought the mushrooms used in the meal from two separate stores. Following the arrest, the woman will be interviewed and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
