Am account that reposts viral posts is among the big beneficiaries of Twitter's new monetization scheme. The "Internet Hall of Fame" account appears to have netted $100,000 from the scheme. Musk previously said that accounts based on "theft" of others' post would not get paid. The "internet hall of fame" account, which has 1.9 million followers and describes itself as highlighting the "best of the internet," in a screenshot Thursday was shown to have been paid $107,247.00. He didn't define exactly what he meant by "theft of posts," and it isn't totally clear whether Internet Hall of Fame would meet that definition.

"He's displayed extraordinary political courage," said Johnson, recounting Kennedy's own narrative about how he took up anti-vaccine advocacy. However, those same brands are returning to market their products and services on Twitter with Yaccarino at the helm. SAN SALVADOR, June 5 (Reuters) - A public-private partnership in El Salvador will pump $1 billion into creating one of the world's largest bitcoin mining farms, the group called Volcano Energy announced on Monday. Volcano Energy said the funds would go toward an estimated 241 MW power generation park using solar and wind energy in the northwestern municipality of Metapan, which will eventually power the bitcoin mining farm. Bitcoin mining uses high-power computers hooked up to a global network, sucking up massive amounts of electricity in the process. The El Salvador government will have "a preferred participation equivalent to 23% of the revenues" in the project, Volcano Energy said, with private investors holding 27%. The White House took a swipe at Tara Reade after the former Biden Senate aide moved to Russia. Reade previously accused Biden of assaulting her in the 1990s, a charge he has repeatedly denied. Reade told a Russian-state news outlet that she feels safer there now. "I won't attempt to speak for an aspiring Russian citizen, the convicted Russian spy who's sponsoring her, or the foreign government with which she has chosen to align," White House spokesperson Andrew Bates said in a statement first reported by CNN's Edward-Isaac Dovere. Reade said in an interview with Sputnik, a Russian state-owned news organization, that she would like to ask Russian President Vladimir Putin for Russian citizenship.

Matt Gaetz, Thomas Massie, and Marjorie Taylor Greene. Carlson and Fox News are negotiating the terms of Carlson's exit from the network.

The Irish Times published the piece, titled "Irish women's obsession with fake tan is problematic," on Thursday. And the profile picture was created with DALL-E to show a stereotypically "woke" journalist with the prompt "female, overweight, blue hair, business casual clothing, smug expression."
Like other social media companies, Twitter has once again found itself in a position akin to that of traditional newspaper editors, who wrestle with difficult decisions about how much to show their audiences. Unlike newspaper and magazine publishers, however, tech companies like Twitter must enforce their decisions on a huge scale, policing millions of users with a combination of automated systems and human content moderators. Other tech companies like Facebook’s parent, Meta, and YouTube’s parent, Alphabet, have invested in large teams that reduce the spread of violent images on their platforms. Twitter, on the other hand, has scaled back its content moderation since Mr. Musk bought the site late last October, laying off full-time employees and contractors on the trust and safety teams that manage content moderation. Graphic content was never completely banned by Twitter, even before Mr. Musk took over.
