The JPMorgan Nasdaq Equity Premium Income ETF (JEPQ) is dominating the competition. Of course, Reiner and his colleagues, Eric Moreau and Andrew Stern, aren't complaining about their fund's 22.6% rise in 2023. It's hard to poke holes in JPMorgan's growth-focused income ETF. JPMorgan's income-focused ETF uses an AI model that gathers and sorts through a treasure trove of information, especially financial statements, to help find suitable investments. Other than putting a premium on income and using AI to find standout stocks, a pair of traits that make JPMorgan's income ETF sing are its transparency and its liquidity.

CNN —A blistering and deadly heat wave in Italy this week could break records, with temperatures predicted to soar past 45 degrees Celsius (113 Fahrenheit) in some parts of the country. The warning comes on the heels of a report published in Nature on Monday, which found that last year’s heat wave killed 61,672 people in Europe. The heat wave is also affecting other European countries including France, Germany and Spain. This heat wave follows another one in Spain in April, which saw temperatures soar to 38.8 degrees Celsius, smashing the previous national monthly record. Scientists found that this heat wave – which also affected Portugal, Morocco and Algeria – was made 100 times more likely by the human-caused climate crisis.

Investors are turning their attention to inflation data in the week ahead, following this week's hot jobs data, to further clarify the path of future monetary policy. Market participants are hoping next week's release of the June consumer price index on Wednesday, as well as last month's producer price index on Thursday, will show a downward trajectory in inflation after this week's strong ADP data spurred investor fears of further rate hikes ahead. Broadly speaking, investors are pricing in another quarter point rate hike at the July meeting. Of note, stocks tumbled Thursday after hotter-than-expected ADP data suggested the Federal Reserve has further to go in its tightening campaign. FactSet data shows analysts expect S & P 500 earnings fell 7% in the second quarter against the same quarter a year ago.

It's difficult to associate Verizon with "massive savings," but that's precisely what you get on its prepaid brand Visible Wireless. Visible subscribers get access to the same rock-solid 5G network as Verizon customers, but the best deals on Visible phone plans offer similar access for considerably cheaper monthly costs. For instance, through July 5, the basic Visible plan for a single line was down to $25 per month, a $5 discount. Visible Wireless Basic Plan For $30 monthly, Visible's basic plan offers unlimited talk, text, and data with mobile hotspot on Verizon's standard 5G network. If you need 5G Ultra Wideband, Visible Plus still offers considerable value at its standard price of $45 monthly.

A pair of new 24-inch iMacs are slated for launch, Bloomberg reported Sunday. A new Apple Watch Ultra, as well as two sizes of the next-generation Apple Watch 9, are also expected, according to the report. The MacBook Pro will ship in 13-, 14- and 16-inch variants, Bloomberg reported, all featuring Apple's new M3 chipset. Along with the new products, consumers and investors are watching to see how the company's Vision Pro will sell. Still, specs suggest the Vision Pro is more powerful than nearly all of its competitors, with two high-definition screens and custom processors to reduce latency.

Strong management can make all the difference for a company to "change their stripes" in a corporate pivot, CNBC's Jim Cramer said on Thursday. Cramer pointed to Costco as a prime example of the difference capable management can make. A bevy of other, non-retail companies are suffering as well, Cramer said, including medical-technology company Medtronic and industrial concern 3M . There's hope in the food companies, Cramer noted, pointing to stark evolutions from JM Smucker and Campbell Soup , both of which have rebalanced towards snack foods. But at a well-managed company like Costco, Cramer has no concerns.
watch nowThe spiraling banking crisis has prompted concerns about liquidity, credit and defaults, CNBC's Jim Cramer said Tuesday, and is leaving traders split. That represents an opportunity to buy into economically sensitive stocks, Cramer argued, because it suggests the Fed is nearly done tightening rate hikes. DefensiveCramer said the second set, defensive traders, are wrong because just a few weeks ago the defensive pharma and packaged goods names were being "pummeled" because they were perceived as too defensive. "It's ridiculous," Cramer said, that those traders think the outlook is much improved. How about sizable layoffs and a big juicy earnings surprise, something that it seems incapable of delivering," Cramer said.
Tesla reported record-breaking Q1 deliveries of 422,875 vehicles. Analysts warn price cuts alone can't keep competition at bay. This record-breaking first-quarter delivery report from comes after Tesla engaged in a series of price cuts and other purchase incentives for the last several months, a move that some investors worried would have too much adverse impact on the company's profit margins. Other analysts and industry experts initially wondered if Musk was using price cuts to turn Tesla's demand problem into an advantage over his competitors. But analysts warn that price cuts alone cannot stave off competition forever.

Tom Bjoerklund/Handout via REUTERSMarch 1 (Reuters) - Europe was no balmy paradise during the Ice Age, with the vast glaciers that blanketed large parts of the continent rendering wide swathes inhospitable for humans. While some populations hunkered down and survived in relatively warmer parts of Europe, including France, Spain and Portugal, others died out on the Italian peninsula, the study showed. "It refreshes our knowledge of how human beings survived the Ice Age," added paleogeneticist and study co-author He Yu of Peking University in China. Homo sapiens arose roughly 300,000 years ago in Africa, then spread worldwide, reaching Europe at least 45,000 years ago. The only people who survived this harshest period in Europe were hunter-gatherers who had found refuge in portions of France and the Iberian peninsula, the study found.
