It's an unfortunate irony — one that means only a few vets have adequate experience treating bulldogs. How I became an expert in treating French bulldogsDr. Kraemer has treated thousands of bulldogs. I even treated some rescued French bulldogs with stem cell therapy, a cutting-edge regenerative medicine. But in my experience, with the improvement of preventive care, wellness, and medicine, the average French bulldog may live 11 to 12 years. In fact, I've treated French bulldogs who competed in local fundraising physical activities, like Cherie the Surf Dog who raises funds for French Bulldog Rescue.
Hong Kong CNN —L’Oréal is buying Australian brand Aesop in a deal that values it at $2.5 billion, in the biggest brand acquisition ever made by the French beauty giant. The sale was announced Monday by Aesop’s parent, Brazilian firm Natura & Co, which also owns The Body Shop and Avon. It brings Aesop, which is known for its luxury skin and body care products, under the same umbrella as brands such as Garnier and Maybelline. The deal would be L’Oréal’s largest acquisition of another brand on record, followed by its $1.7 billion purchase of YSL Beauté in 2008, according to data from Dealogic. “Aesop taps into all of today’s ascending currents,” L’Oréal CEO Nicolas Hieronimus said in the statement.
I'm a creative director with a part-time gig as a user-generated-content, or UGC, creator. Between then and May 2016, I worked part time, lived at home, and built my UGC portfolio. As a UGC creator, you have to be aware of the latest social trends and nuances in marketing. What you choose to do after these gut punches is what separates the UGC creator who gave up after two weeks from the creator who makes four or five figures a month.

Americans will be discovering unhappy surprises in the 4,155-page omnibus bill for weeks, and our unhappy duty is to tell you about them. To take one example: Congress is giving the Food and Drug Administration expanded power over the cosmetics industry. Some 3,500 pages into the bill arrives the “Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022,” and by “modernization” Congress means giving the federal bureaucracy more power. Peddlers of lotions and lip gloss now will have to register their facilities, report “adverse events,” and abide by stipulated manufacturing practices. The FDA will have power to issue mandatory recalls.

CNN Business —General Motors’ venture capital arm has invested in a California startup that’s making imitation leather from mushrooms. With more discounts available and additional inventory being sold through off-price retailers, consumers are expecting to find good deals when they go shopping, executives said. Last month, the average discount at such retailers was 16%, up from 15% a year earlier, UBS said. That is prompting competitors—including those that don’t have too much inventory—to fine-tune their pricing strategies, offering discounts to stay competitive even as they grapple with higher costs. The company’s operating margin fell to 15% from 18.1% a year earlier, according to FactSet, a data provider.
