European markets are already trading with a risk premium ahead of a potential Trump win, and the investment bank believes the full impact may not be reflected in current valuations. "The possibility to bypass Congress increases the risk of tariff implementation in the event of a Trump win," said Barclays strategists led by Emmanuel Cau in a note to clients on Oct. 23. "Compared to a status quo scenario under a Harris win, a Trump win may have broader and more discriminant implications for markets." CNN —James Van Der Beek is opening up about a health battle. The “Dawson’s Creek” alum told CNN in a statement Sunday that he has colorectal cancer. Van Der Beek, 47, added: “There’s reason for optimism, and I’m feeling good.”People magazine was first to report the news. In the United States, about 1 in 23 men and 1 in 25 women will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer in their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society. Berkshire Hathaway disclosed in its earnings report that approximately 70% of its equity portfolio was concentrated in just five stocks — Apple, Bank of America , Coca-Cola , American Express and Chevron . Since mid-July, Berkshire has reaped more than $10 billion from selling its longtime Bank of America investment. Kendra Panteah, 37, pleaded guilty Friday to one count of kidnapping not resulting in death in federal court in Albuquerque, according to court records. Another man, Gilbert John Jr., fatally stabbed the victim, the prosecutor's office said. Panteah said the two other people got out as she drove to Gallup with the man still locked in the trunk, according to the plea agreement. They stopped at Bass Lake, which is where the victim began breaking out of the trunk and John stabbed him repeatedly with a machete, Panteah and prosecutors said. He and Panteah sat on the trunk of the car until the victim stopped moving, according to Panteah's plea agreement.
