Washington CNN —President Joe Biden on Saturday night will attend the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, giving the president a stage and primetime slot to needle the media and his rival former President Donald Trump. “I haven’t had a chance to watch the court proceedings because I’ve been campaigning,” Biden told supporters at a campaign reception in New York Thursday, according to pool reports. While Biden has delivered many of these speeches before, the stakes for what could be his last White House Correspondents’ Dinner are high. “He’s the entertainer.”Administration officials said Katzenberg led daily strategy sessions in the White House residence this week to tweak Biden’s comedy set drafted by longtime speechwriter Vinay Reddy. In January 2022, I was planning a summer trip to Ukraine and Russia for my 4-year-old son and me. I spent half of my childhood in Ukraine and half in Russia before moving to the United States when I was a teenager. When I became a parent, my one, obsessive goal — as a mother raising a child in America with a man who spoke only English — was to teach my son Russian. He started inserting English words in otherwise Russian sentences and talking to himself in English while playing alone. A visit to Ukraine and Russia would allow him to see that his mother’s native language wasn’t a quirk of hers but something normal for millions of people.

CNN —More than 20 years after a mother found a human jawbone hidden in her son’s rock collection, genetic genealogy experts have unraveled the discovery and identified the partial remains of a US Marine Corps captain. In 2002, his mother found the collection, came across what looked to be human remains and contacted the sheriff’s office, authorities said in a statement. In January 2023, the sheriff’s office and the Yavapai County Medical Examiner referred the case to the Investigative Genetic Genealogy Center. The White House has forgiven a staggering $153 billion in federal student loan debt, giving a financial lifeline to millions of borrowers. Davis graduated from chiropractic college in 1986, with about $30,000 in debt from federal student loans. He isn’t bitter about it, and he’s not counting on a magic wand to come and zap his debt away.
