Earlier this year, Blackstone rolled out an ownership plan for employees of HVAC company Copeland. The newest rage in private equity seeks to flip that model on its head by offering employees equity on top of their regular salaries. Joe Baratta, global head of private equity at Blackstone BlackstoneAcross the industry, high interest rates have squeezed returns and exit opportunities. "There's a belief that movable voters move late," said one Harris campaign official, who described the thinking behind her approach on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak for her. Trump often derides nonpartisan media as "fake news" and an "enemy of the public," but he hasn't completely abandoned those platforms. Since she took over as the Democratic candidate for President Joe Biden, Harris' media strategy has evolved. A second Harris campaign official said her team believes it is now in a very small window where undecided voters are paying attention, and she can actually break through. Specifically, this official said Harris’ appearance on Fox News is indicative of the fact that she needs white working-class women.

The PAC, which was formed in late May, reports having spent a total of $102 million on the presidential race so far, FEC filings show. Unlike most super PACs, however, America PAC is not spending its money to reserve expensive television air time to run ads. But there's one hiccup: your retirement savings rate could fall behind and the opportunity costs could pile up. The reason is that the most common default savings rate was quite low, at only 3%. Those who saw a raise below 10% saw a drop in their savings rate and the dollar amount they saved. Those lucky enough to snag an increase above 10%, still ended up with a higher dollar amount saved even with a lower savings rate. For passive savers who are stuck in their ways, it may be up to employers to make the adjustments by increasing the default savings rate.
