Greg Flynn, the franchise owner of 24 Panera Breads in the state, announced on Tuesday that he would raise the minimum wage at his locations from $16 to $20. Newsom and Flynn have known each other for years, and Flynn has been a longtime donor to Newsom's campaign, Business Insider previously reported. Panera Bread has confidentially filed to go public again, the Financial Times reported. The restaurant chain, known for its soups, sandwiches and bagels, has been signaling for months that it's looking to go public through an initial public offering. In May, Panera announced a CEO transition and said the leadership changes were "in preparation for its eventual IPO" — amid a two-year IPO drought that ended in the fall. Bimbo cut its annual sales forecast to low-to-mid single-digit growth, Chief Financial Officer Diego Gaxiola said in a call with analysts, down from a previous projection of mid-to-high single-digit growth. "Compared to our initial sales guidance, we have an impact of more than six percentage points" due to the strength of the peso, Gaxiola said.
