Formula 1 has two new team names this season, which follow a trend in the sport to focus on marketing: Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team and Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber. Sauber Motorsport has been racing since 1993 under various names, most recently as Alfa Romeo. “Before Audi’s arrival, we felt it was important to present ourselves with this new identity and to have a commercial partnership in place,” said Alessandro Alunni Bravi, the Stake team representative. “The Sauber Group has been in Formula 1 for 32 years, but this doesn’t mean we have forgotten what Sauber is. “The reality is that we said from the outset last year that we would move closer to the Red Bull family.”

CNN —Volkswagen is recalling more than 260,000 compact cars in the United States because a pump located inside the gas tank could leak fuel, possibly leading to a fire. The cars involved are various Volkswagen Golf, Golf GTI, Golf Sportwagen, Jetta and Audi A3s from the 2015 through 2020 model years. Not every model year is involved for every one of those models and only front-wheel-drive, not all-wheel-drive, versions are included. Vehicle owners can check the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Safecar.gov website to see if their specific car is involved. Owners can also call Volkswagen customer service at 800-893-5298 or Audi customer service at 800-253-2834.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — General Motors said Tuesday it has registered with Formula One's governing body to become an engine supplier starting in 2028 in what is seen as a huge boost to Michael Andretti's bid to join the global motorsports series. “We are thrilled that our new Andretti Cadillac F1 entry will be powered by a GM power unit,” GM President Mark Reuss said. GM in January announced its partnership with Andretti Global under its Cadillac banner on Andretti's application to join F1. GM doesn't have its own F1 power unit and said its effort would be in conjunction with an existing manufacturer.
