Since Meta reported earnings on Wednesday, its stock has shed more than 23%. Everyone on Wall Street is mad that Meta keeps spending so much. Investors and analysts took the day yesterday to digest the tech giant's latest earnings, and it's clear patience is wearing thin. Mega-cap tech stocks like Zucks' behemoth are facing a possible crisis, with other giants like Google parent Alphabet reporting slowdowns in digital advertising growth. Wall Street is grappling with the "revenge of the old economy" as tech and growth stocks crash.

Sony Honda Mobility said on Thursday it was aiming to deliver the first of the unnamed EV by 2026, starting in the United States, and will sell them online. Honda has about 1,100 Honda dealers and 270 Acura dealers. "I get teaming up with Sony, but it should be done in conjunction with the dealer network, not outside it," he added. Sony Honda officials promised the vehicle - to be built at one of Honda's Ohio plants - will include advanced driver-assist features and a new software system developed by Sony that offers cloud-connected services that generate recurring revenue. Sony Honda officials declined to say under what brand the vehicle will be sold.

TOKYO, Oct 13 (Reuters) - A joint venture set up by Japan's Sony Group Corp (6758.T) and Honda Motor (7267.T) is aiming to deliver its first electric vehicles by 2026 and will sell them online, starting in the United States and Japan. The update from the joint venture, Sony Honda Mobility, is the first since the two companies launched the project in June. Sony will provide the software system for the new car, from the onboard controllers to cloud-based services that will connect with entertainment and payment systems. The still-to-be named EV will likely be manufactured by Honda at one of its plants in Ohio. The new EV will be delivered to the Japanese market in the second half of 2026.

Honda will separately invest $700 million to retool three Ohio plants and add 300 new jobs, as it seeks higher electric- vehicle production. The plant is the latest in a string of battery plants announced as automakers race to shift gas-powered production to electric vehicles. President Joe Biden praised the Honda-LG announcement, saying the companies were "committing more than $5 billion toward electric vehicle battery manufacturing and factory retooling across the state." Honda plans to begin production and sales of EVs in North America in 2026, based on its new Honda e:Architecture.

Honda plans to begin production and sales of Honda EVs in North America in 2026, based on its new Honda e:Architecture. The joint venture is pending regulatory approvals. That announcement expanded on plans for GM to begin building two electric SUVs for Honda starting in 2024 - the Honda Prologue and an Acura model.

CNN —Honda and South Korean battery maker LG Energy Solutions are investing $3.5 billion to build a joint venture battery factory in southern Ohio, the car company said Tuesday. Construction on the battery plant is expected to begin early next year and should be completed by the end of 2024. At the Marysville plant, battery cells from the Fayette County battery factory will be installed in the battery cases made in Anna. The Marysville factory opened in 1982 and was Honda’s first auto factory in the United States. Honda now has 18 factories producing Honda and Acura vehicles in the United States.
