The interview – his first in nearly six years – was conducted in host Alex Cooper’s childhood home in Pennsylvania. Zayn lives in the state now, too, prompting Cooper to ask, “Why Pennsylvania?”“A lot of people ask me that. Their tormentors have also called in false bomb threats to venues using their names in three states. To combat the growing problem, the FBI has begun taking formal measures to get a comprehensive picture of the problem on a national level. Chief Scott Schubert with the bureau's Criminal Justice Information Services headquarters in Clarksburg, West Virginia, told NBC News that the agency formed a national online database in May to facilitate information sharing between hundreds of police departments and law enforcement agencies across the country pertaining to swatting incidents. No central agency has tracked swatting incidents or suspects in the U.S., so official statistics are not available. The couple was mostly recently swatted at their home on Tuesday, bringing the total of swatting incidents to 43.

I suppose it must be good news for the Nats at some level, but the Mets weren’t really their problem. Books by candidatesI previously mentioned that I don’t read books by aspiring presidential candidates. Of course, someone is unlikely to read a book by a candidate unless they are somewhat interested in that person. — Angie BoyterWhen I wrote that I don’t read a presidential candidate’s book, I was mainly thinking about the genre of political books written by someone just about to run for president. They largely go unread, but they offer an excuse for TV producers to book a presidential hopeful on their shows.

Wing CEO Adam Woodworth shows the Alphabet company's delivery drone to CNBC's Katie Tarasov on April 25, 2023, in Hollister, California. Walmart said it made more than 6,000 drone deliveries across seven states in 2022 with DroneUp, Zipline and a third partner, Flytrex. Amazon's VP of Prime Air David Carbon showcased the current MK27-2 drone in Westborough, Massachusetts, on Nov. 10, 2022. Prime Air drones, along with most other delivery drones, operate with a number of federal exemptions that greatly restrict where and how they can fly. Prime Air drones are not expected to exceed 58 decibels, according to an FAA assessment, about the noise level of an outdoor air conditioning unit.
CNN —Liam Payne is heading in a new direction. Earlier this week, the One Direction alum revealed to iFL TV that he’s “over 100 days” sober, saying, “I feel amazing, I feel really, really good.”“The support from the fans and everything’s been really good too. He added that he often drank before going on stage in an effort to manage the stress. We had an absolute blast, but there were certain parts of it where it just got a little bit toxic.”Looking ahead, Payne told iFL TV this week that in addition to being sober, he’s also working on a new album that he’s “really excited” about. Payne was a member of boyband One Direction between 2010 and 2015 alongside Styles, Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan.

Internal messages show how Fox News anchors privately mocked 2020 election conspiracy theories. Dominion, an elections technology company, filed a defamation lawsuit against Fox News in March 2021, accusing the media company of spreading conspiracy theories that claimed Dominion helped rig the 2020 election results. "It's dangerously insane these conspiracy theories," Fox reporter Lucas Tomlinson said to Bret Baier, host of Special Report. A search through FoxNews.com turns up zero recent stories regarding the Dominion lawsuit. "That is an actual threat to democracy and it points up the core problem which is we're not really very serious about democracy if we're using electronic voting machines," Carlson said.

LIKE BUTTERNUT Beyond a final swirl of cream and scattering of crispy chickpeas, this soup is all about the pure flavor of the squash“WHEN YOU THINK of French food, you think of rich, luxury food,” said chef Karyn Tomlinson. “I love the idea of showing a guest dignity by setting the table,” Ms. Tomlinson said. This autumnal soup, the chef’s third Slow Food Fast recipe, is both celebratory and soothing. Butternut squash is the star, and it cooks down with just enough stock to soften without losing flavor. A garnish of crisped chickpeas and final splash of heavy cream make for a pretty, textured bowl.
SELF-CARROT Easy on the chef, this salad takes just 15 minutes to make. IF YOU ASK Karyn Tomlinson, carrots are underrated. “A great carrot is bright and has incredible natural sweetness,” said the chef-owner of Myriel, in St. Paul, Minn. In her second Slow Food Fast recipe, Ms. Tomlinson gives her favorite vegetable and its bushy green top their due in a snappy salad rounded out with a pouf of whipped feta. Here, thinly sliced carrot coins quickly marinate in a little olive oil and salt.
