Over the course of several days, The Associated Press interviewed a cross section of voters in Northampton County to ask whether Biden's messaging around the fate of democracy was resonating. These voters represented parts of the very coalition Biden will need to win Pennsylvania again — Black voters, Latinos, independents and moderates from both parties. A Biden campaign spokesperson said the democracy message is central to the campaign but it is not the only one the campaign will use to reach voters. Getting Black voters engaged is going to take more from Biden, she believes, because so far his campaign messages have not resonated. Microsoft -owned GitHub on Wednesday introduced a more expensive Copilot assistant for developers inside companies that can explain and provide recommendations about internal source code. Last month Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella told analysts on a conference call that GitHub Copilot had accumulated 1 million paid users. The new GitHub Copilot Enterprise will cost more than double the business offering, at $39 per person per month. On GitHub's website, people with Copilot Enterprise licenses can choose repositories to fine-tune Copilot on proprietary code. From there, they can ask GitHub's Copilot chatbot about elements of existing code and suggest lines of code in development environments.

CNN —Australian police have arrested a woman who served a lunch in late July that led to the deaths of three people from suspected death cap mushroom poisoning. Victoria Police confirmed a 49-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the case. CNN affiliate Nine News said Patterson was arrested at her home in the town of Leongatha in southern Victoria. In the same statement she claimed she bought the mushrooms used in the meal from two separate stores. Following the arrest, the woman will be interviewed and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.

Thomas' friend, healthcare exec Anthony Welters, loaned him over $260,000 that Thomas used to purchase a luxury RV.
