Chris Paul countered Gilgeous-Alexander's first hoop of overtime with a 3-pointer to give the Warriors one final lead at 120-119 before the Thunder star hit three mid-range shots and a layup. The Bulls did not get the lead until Alex Caruso hit an open 3-pointer from the left side to make it 97-94 with 51.8 seconds left. After Jimmy Butler sank a game-tying 3-pointer with 42.7 seconds left, DeRozan made a turnaround 18-footer from the left elbow over rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. to make it 99-97. Anthony Edwards added 23 points and Rudy Gobert had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Wolves. Brandon Ingram scored 30 points and Jonas Valanciunas had 26 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Pelicans.

One by one, they have left Oakland. Then, a year later, it was the itinerant Raiders heading to Las Vegas, the eye patch on their gridiron bandit logo obscuring an apparently wandering eye. The Athletics have another year on their lease in Oakland and their new stadium — a $1.5 billion, 30,000-seat ballpark with a retractable roof for which the Nevada Legislature approved public financing — won’t be ready until 2028. The Nevada teacher’s union is angling to put the subsidy on the ballot for voters. But the A’s impending move, as inevitable as it has seemed, landed in Oakland like a fastball to the ribs.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Draymond Green was “wrong” and “took it too far” when he put Minnesota's Rudy Gobert in a headlock, agreeing that the five-game suspension handed down by the NBA was deserved. “Draymond was wrong,” Kerr said Thursday before the Warriors' game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Thompson and McDaniels were each assessed a technical foul, while Green was assessed a Flagrant Foul 2. Political Cartoons View All 1253 Images“He definitely took it too far," Kerr said. A game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors had barely begun, Tuesday night in San Francisco, when the rowdiest scene of the early NBA season unfolded. Just over a minute and a half into the contest, Minnesota’s Jaden McDaniels and Golden State’s Klay Thompson, who had tussled for rebounding position, gripped and tore at one another’s jerseys at midcourt, spinning in circles as referees’ whistles blew. When Rudy Gobert, the Timberwolves’ 7-foot-1 center, tried to pry them apart, Draymond Green—the Warriors’ ace defender and agitator—leapt onto Gobert’s back and clamped an arm around his neck.

When the warriors of Hamas broke out of their fiefdom in Gaza to kill and kidnap Israelis, a historic failure of imagination came painfully into view. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ’s government—and many in the country’s security and intelligence agencies—had seen the Palestinians as a manageable problem. Israelis were certainly aware of the growing missile threat from Gaza. The Israeli army and air force had ripped into Gaza in 2014 to destroy, among other things, missile factories. They knew that Hamas’s relations with Iran, which has developed great skill in missilery, had deepened.

Visitors play the Warriors All-Stars video game in the Koei Tecmo Holdings booth during the Tokyo Game Show 2017 at Makuhari Messe on September 21, 2017 in Chiba, Japan. TOKYO — Video games are in focus with the Tokyo Game Show 2023 underway — but some of the biggest game developers in Japan say hot trends like generative AI and virtual reality/augmented reality headsets for game development may not be ready yet. Game developers like Japan's Koei Tecmo have been using conventional algorithmic AI "for a long time," Hisashi Koinuma, president and chief operating officer of Koei Tecmo Games told CNBC, but challenges still remain when utilizing the latest iteration — generative AI — in game development. "We are not yet at the stage of integrating generative AI into our products, but are in the process of testing various ways to integrate it in the future," Koinuma said Wednesday. The issue with copyright concerns is not one shared by Koei Tecmo alone.
