Back in April we covered the breakout in Southern Copper (SCCO) from $116 a share. I think it can hold that support again and, along with underlying copper futures, mount another attack on the highs. Copper demand just recently exceeded 25 million metric tons this year and with the explosion in AI and with the move towards clean energy, copper demand is expected to reach 40 million metric tons in the next 15 years. Turning to our focus stock, Southern Copper (SCCO), the chart is also pulling back into a very similar correction with anticipated support in the $115-$105 zone. Southern Copper beat their top and bottom line earnings estimates for Q1 in April, and looking ahead the growth is expected to continue.

The reason for that is mostly the American consumer, with spending accounting for about 70% of gross domestic product. On Thursday, Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan said that his customers are slowing down the rate of their purchases. Consumer payments, as measured through credit cards, checks and ATM withdrawals, have grown by 3.5% since last year, he said. A little-known technology stock could win big from Netflix 's shift in advertising strategy. The streaming giant announced Wednesday that it plans to debut its own advertising platform and partner with companies such as The Trade Desk and Magnite as its global ad-tier reaches 40 million monthly subscribers worldwide. While the partnership may take time to ramp up, Citi's Ygal Arounian estimates that it could add $500 million in 2025 gross billings to The Trade Desk. Every 10% of business funneled through The Trade Desk by 2026 could generate 2% upside to revenues, he estimates.
