CNN —Gwen Stefani has some studying to do ahead of the hotly anticipated No Doubt reunion at the Coachella music festival in April. She told host Jimmy Kimmel this week that she and the band haven’t started rehearsing yet, and that she has to relearn “eight or nine” No Doubt songs ahead of the big show. But Stefani isn’t letting nerves get the best of her, as she also gushed to Kimmel that playing Coachella is “going to be amazing. I’m so excited.”In their heyday, No Doubt became known for their classic hits “Don’t Speak,” “Just a Girl” and “Spiderwebs,” among many others. The ruling left Mr. Trump with the opportunity to raise different objections to Mr. Vance’s subpoena. AUTUMN 2020Prosecutors interviewed employees of the main bank and insurance company that serve Mr. Trump and issued several new subpoenas. The brief unsigned order was a decisive defeat for Mr. Trump and a turning point in Mr. Vance’s investigation. Just hours later, eight years of financial records were handed over to Mr. Vance’s office. After Mr. Bragg expressed reservations about the case, Mr. Pomerantz and Mr. Dunne suspended the presentation of evidence about Mr. Trump to a grand jury.

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Two Republican legislators filed a resolution Wednesday aimed at initiating impeachment proceedings against Democratic Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham over her emergency public health orders suspending the right to carry firearms in some public places in greater Albuquerque, such as parks and playgrounds. Gun rights advocates have filed legal challenges to the orders and are urging the New Mexico Supreme Court to block them. In the federal court system, a judge has allowed enforcement of the gun provision to continue while legal challenges run their course. New Mexico lawmakers convened Tuesday for a 30-day session and could take up a broad slate of firearms proposals from the governor that aim to reduce gun violence, including a permanent statewide ban on firearms in public parks and playgrounds.

Airlines lower their fares when they are trying to get more people to book tickets as demand is slowing or they are facing stiffer competition. Early this month, the average price for a domestic flight around Thanksgiving was down about 9 percent from a year ago. But some airlines say demand is slowing outside of holiday and other peak travel periods. Image Thanksgiving this year is expected to set a record for air travel, with nearly 30 million passengers anticipated. If travel demand is dropping, in some ways that’s an even bigger win for people who are never going to give up on travel.”

An IRS memo is the latest sign of the agency’s tough line in audits of the employee retention credit, or ERC. Photo: stefani reynolds/Agence France-Presse/Getty ImagesA lot of federal money is riding on what counts as a government order, and the Internal Revenue Service and tax firms are preparing for legal fights about that crucial definition. Employers can claim a pandemic-era tax credit worth up to $26,000 per worker if a government order fully or partially suspended their operations. Some employers and tax advisers say they can rely on Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines encouraging ventilation, physical distancing and other measures.

The unemployment rate is at 3.8%, marginally above where it stood in January 2020. Photo: stefani reynolds/Agence France-Presse/Getty ImagesLast week we learned that the economy, far from sliding toward recession as economists had predicted over the past year, has actually picked up steam thanks to indefatigable consumers. Not only has economic output made up all the ground lost during the pandemic, but it is also above where it would have been had the pandemic never happened, judging by what the Congressional Budget Office projected in early 2020.

Fraud by false promise and fraud by misrepresentation were also listed in the lawsuit as the basis for damages. McBride is currently on probation for two years after pleading guilty to receiving stolen property of more than $950, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office. The car was her dream purchase, her favorite place to listen to music and yes, she feels guilty about the gas. In Newark, Chicago and other cities’ airport terminals, moving walkways have been removed to make room for more shops and restaurants. Some new airport terminals have recently opened without moving walkways. The airport is now building a tunnel to shorten the walk from security to the concourse. Google, for example, has announced its plans to revamp its search engine using an AI model called Search Generative Experience. Google and Pichai say that the company's text-generating AI models will make its search engine better and could even answer questions that normal Google search can't. But the company delivered on those lofty expectations with a quarter that was the best among the group so far. Taken together, the company has been able to significantly accelerate revenue growth. Coupled with rebounding operating margins, the stock is now more deserving of a so-called growth stock multiple instead of the "value" label investors had attached to the firm last year. But for now, Zuckerberg has a pass because, to his credit, Meta's cost structure has been reduced significantly this year. After buying back $9.22 billion worth of stock in the first quarter, Meta only repurchased $793 million in the second quarter.
