Routh became animated when writing about Trump, and he frequently weighed in on US and global current events on social media. He even commented on the first assassination attempt on Trump, when the former president was wounded by a gunshot during a rally in Pennsylvania in July. According to Cernea, Routh described Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine as a “black and white… good versus evil” conflict. Hawaiian business owner Saili Levi told CNN he had paid Routh $3,800 up front to build a trailer for his business. Levi said when he asked Routh to improve the work via email, Routh ranted at him.

Twenty-five years and multiple incarnations later, Disney introduced the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass in July 2024. What is Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, and how much does it cost? A Lightning Lane Multi-Pass allows you to choose three Disney rides that you want to prioritize. Well, some rides have been deemed even more exclusive than those rides, and you can only purchase a Lightning Lane for those separately. Those are the best attractions in the park, and you could waste hours trying to get on them without a Lightning Lane.

Honolulu (AP) — Investigators reviewing the emergency response to last year’s wildfire that killed 102 people on Maui said in a report released Friday they found “no evidence” Hawaii officials made preparations for it, despite days of warnings that critical fire weather was coming. The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency didn’t immediately respond with comment. Maui fire commanders discussed the forecast, but “no evidence of pre-event preparedness plans by the MFD were produced,” the report said. Maui County and the state use private contractors to help fight fires with water tankers and heavy equipment. And despite the warnings, the heads of the county emergency management agency and the Maui Fire Department were off-island that day, attending conferences in Honolulu.

But other chapters, like those describing the loss of our ancient ancestors, are harder to recover as time passes. A chance finding of bones in a cave is revealing clues of a much older tragic mystery. The once-in-a-lifetime find, nicknamed Thorin after a character in “The Hobbit,” has puzzled researchers for nearly a decade. The overall winner of the competition was photographer Ryan Imperio for his photo taken during the October 2023 annular solar eclipse. Former President Donald Trump said at a campaign rally Thursday that he would eliminate taxes on overtime pay if he wins a second term in November. "I’m also announcing that as part of our additional tax cuts, we will end all taxes on overtime," he said in Tucson, Arizona. The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for details about the plan. The Harris campaign also pointed to a 2019 Trump administration overtime pay rule that replaced a more expansive proposal pushed by the Obama administration. The 1938 Fair Labor Standards Act created a 40-hour workweek and overtime pay standards, as well as the right to a minimum wage.

My mom moved in when she was 55, admittedly a little early. Even though my mom is now working full-time, our multigenerational setup still works for our childcare needs and her financial goals. New York CNN —Lawyers for Sam Bankman-Fried, the convicted former CEO of crypto exchange FTX, filed an appeal Friday, claiming he was denied a fair trial last fall and seeking new proceedings under a different judge. Bankman-Fried, 32, was sentenced to 25 years in prison after a jury convicted him on multiple federal counts of fraud and conspiracy in November. Two years after FTX collapsed in the midst of a cash crunch, Bankman-Fried is arguing that he didn’t get a fair shake in his trial. The court, they say, prohibited Bankman-Fried from introducing evidence of solvency for FTX and its sister firm, Alameda. Ellison pleaded guilty in cooperation with the government and became a star witness against Bankman-Fried during his trial.

Here's a rapid-fire update on all 32 stocks in Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust, the portfolio we use for the CNBC Investing Club. AMD shares have caught a bid in recent days, but they're still cheap considering the growth of its AI processors. Broadcom : Investors who don't own any Broadcom yet should consider starting a position here, Jim said. Although it's tempting to offload shares, Jim said to stick with Honeywell for now because there's huge value in individual businesses like aerospace. There's little negative to say about this portfolio stock.

All four were in New York on Wednesday for a commemoration event at Ground Zero in Manhattan. The Israeli military said Tuesday that an American woman who was killed during a protest in the occupied West Bank last week was "likely" hit "unintentionally" by Israeli fire. Eygi’s family said she was peacefully demonstrating when she was killed and that video showed the bullet appeared to come from an Israeli military shooter. They had separately called for an independent U.S.-ordered investigation and said an Israeli investigation would not be enough. A Federal Bureau of Investigation probe into the 2022 killing of another American in the West Bank, veteran Palestinian American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, remains ongoing.
