Simon Potter | Getty ImagesWhen it comes to stocks, investors face a big question: How much exposure is enough? At Fidelity, the allocations to equities in retirement funds are about 10% higher than where they should be, Shamrell said. watch nowSome of those investors with excess stock exposure may simply need to rebalance after recent market highs, Shamrell said. Experts say having the right mix of equities can go a long way toward helping retirees meet their financial goals. Importantly, a client's personal circumstances drive these goals, McClanahan noted.

The longtime VC firm just announced a new $250 million seed fund focused on AI. In tough economic times, the firm's leader, Navin Chaddha, believes it's a prime time to invest. That has essentially been Navin Chaddha's mantra since he took over the reins at venture-capital stalwart Mayfield Fund in 2009. With a dedicated $250 million AI seed war chest, Mayfield is now prepared to lean in even more. "We believe that AI will emerge as our teammate and that the Gen.AI wave will create many iconic companies," Chaddha said in a press release.

Unlike many restaurants that work with Uber, Domino's will use its own delivery drivers to get orders to customers. But CFO Sandeep Reddy said the Uber Eats deal should reverse sluggish sales by 2024. Under the deal, Domino's will be listed on the Uber Eats platform, but the pizza deliveries will be made by Domino's. Weiner, who replaced Allison in May 2022, said on Monday's conference call that the Uber Eats deal will bring in new customers. Weiner noted that the Uber Eats deal includes securing "control of our customer data."

New York CNN —Domino’s is still suffering declines in its delivery business. But Domino’s (DPZ) still doesn’t want to use outside delivery drivers. Nathan Papes/Springfield News-Leader/USA Today Network/ImagnWeiner said that Domino’s is getting more applications for delivery drivers now than it did in 2019, an encouraging sign. In addition to the electric vehicles, Domino’s has more than 1,000 non-EV cars in its fleet, Weiner said on Monday. By using its own drivers, Domino’s has more control over the delivery experience.

Domino's Pizza inks a deal with Uber Eats
  + stars: | 2023-07-12 | by ( Jordan Valinsky | ) edition.cnn.com   time to read: +2 min
New York CNN —Domino’s Pizza has long been a holdout of using third-party delivery apps in the United States. Customers can soon order Domino’s full menu on Uber Eats and Postmates, with a partnership announced Monday that is scheduled to roll out nationwide by the end of the year. And in 2021 Domino’s even gave away $50 million in free food to counter the “surprise fees” from delivery apps. “Other food delivery apps charge customers with hidden city or service fees,” the company said at the time. However, Domino’s employees will still deliver the pizza rather than Uber Eats drivers, Weiner said.

Domino's is using Google Maps tech to launch Pinpoint Delivery. Domino's has seen a slowdown in its delivery business due to inflationary pressures on customers. The pizza chain, which bills itself as a tech chain that happens to sell pizza, is leveraging Google Maps technology to deliver pizzas to locations without addresses, such as parks, beaches, and baseball fields. Domino's is leveraging Google Maps tech for Pinpoint Delivery. There's no extra cost for Pinpoint Delivery, which comes as inflationary pressures have hurt Domino's delivery business.

BENGALURU, May 19 (Reuters) - India's Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd (GLEN.NS) reported a 12.3% decline in fourth-quarter profit on Friday, hurt by higher input costs and lower demand in its domestic drugs business. Consolidated profit before exceptional items and tax fell to 3.09 billion rupees ($37.78 million) for the three months ended March 31, from 3.52 billion rupees a year earlier, the cetirizine maker said in a stock exchange filing. The RBI's repo rate is at 6.50%. Banks met officials from the Fixed Income Money Market and Derivatives Association of India (FIMMDA) last week to raise the issue of persistently high overnight rates. FIMMDA and RBI officials did not respond to Reuters' emails seeking comment. Even as overnight rates stay elevated, treasury officials are not anticipating any infusion from the RBI as they expect liquidity conditions to improve in due course. That dividend transfer, according to traders, could top 1 trillion rupees ($12.23 billion), sharply above the budgeted 480 billion rupees.

The problem is a lack of doctors, a shortage that is reaching crucial levels as India becomes the world's most populous nation. Inaugurating the first specialised medical institute in northeast India last month, Modi said his government had sought to increase the number of doctors by setting up more medical colleges. The number of public hospitals, excluding specialised institutes, has risen some 9% in Modi’s time at the top, government data shows. The government says there was a near 80% shortage of surgeons, physicians, gynaecologists and paediatricians at community health centres in rural India as of March 2022. Specialist doctors tend to go overseas or join the private sector in metropolitan and other large cities, said Dr K. Srinath Reddy, at the Public Health Foundation of India non-profit.
The illustration, published last month in German news magazine Der Spiegel, shows a throng of jubilant Indians on an old and overcrowded locomotive – many standing on the roof – as it overtakes a sleek Chinese bullet train. But more than three quarters of a century later, critics of the Der Spiegel cartoon say it is unfair to view India through the lens of poverty. CNN has reached out to Der Spiegel for comment. Sankhadeep Banerjee/NurPhoto/Getty Images‘Suck up to China’The Der Spiegel cartoon “plays with very old fashioned clichés,” Germany’s ambassador to India, Philipp Ackermann, told Indian news agency ANI. “Der Spiegel caricaturing India in this manner has no resemblance to reality,” Gupta, the senior government adviser wrote on Twitter.

The hedge funds said they can share ideas, but cannot reveal their trading positions for regulatory reasons. Reddy said he preferred senior unsecured bank debt, that allowed bondholders payment ahead of some other creditors in the event of an insolvency. Taking bearish positions on banks that lend to smaller and medium sized firms could prove opportunistic if the economy weakens, he added. Trend-wise the Japanese yen should continue to weaken," said Chua, noting that central banks in Asia have slowed or paused rate hikes. Insurers, which holds commercial mortgage-backed securities and property, will likely feel pressures on CRE, he said.
