ROCHESTER, New York, May 17 (Reuters) - Brooks Koepka returns to the major stage for this week's PGA Championship hoping the lessons he learned after squandering a final-round lead at last month's Masters will serve him well at Oak Hill Country Club. When asked to share what he learned from his latest Masters appearance Koepka said he preferred to keep it to himself. Starting with his 2017 U.S. Open win at Erin Hills, Koepka has finished either first or second in eight of the last 21 majors in which he has competed. Prior to the 2019 PGA Championship Koepka said the majors are sometimes the easiest to win and shared his own algorithm that essentially reduced the field to about 12 players he needed to beat. Oak Hill has undergone an extensive restoration since it last hosted a PGA Championship in 2013 and its narrow fairways, deep rough and steep-faced bunkers will provide a stern test.

If Oak Hill doesn’t play tougher this time around, should it stay in the mix for the majors? Oak Hill will play plenty tough. Oak Hill is not going to bend; it’s too good of a golf course to yield. Championship at Oak Hill in May will have a pretty tough crop of rough. When I got a good, tough golf course, that’s where the better players shined, and Oak Hill will shine.

Another power threesome of PGA Championship winners heads out at 8:11 AM ET (1211 GMT) with reigning champion Justin Thomas opening the defence of his crown in the company of Northern Ireland's four-time major winner Rory McIlroy and double major winner Collin Morikawa. PITTSFORD, N.Y. — About six weeks ago — that is, a missed Masters Tournament cut, a self-imposed hiatus and a tie for 47th at the Wells Fargo Championship ago — Rory McIlroy talked about pies. “It’s just putting all those ingredients in and setting the oven to the right temperature and letting it all sort of come to fruition.”This week’s P.G.A. But a victory or a strong showing would quiet the doubts that have arisen around McIlroy, who is No. 3 in the Official World Golf Ranking but perpetually shadowed by his failure to capture a major championship since 2014. Despite his membership at Oak Hill, McIlroy has been reluctant to declare some sort of home-course advantage since he, after all, lives in Florida.

During the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow on Saturday, Rickie Fowler was on hand to provide a safe demonstration. North Carolina is home to a range of snake species, many of which inhabit the waters of the Tar Heel state. Comments on the PGA’s Twitter post wavered on what species of snake Fowler handled, but it is thought to be a northern watersnake, a nonvenomous species native to North America. Angling his wedge, Fowler gently hooked the snake to lift it out from between a gap in the rocks before it slithered away. Rickie Fowler the ... snake charmer?!

Dec 19 (Reuters) - Bankrupt cosmetics giant Revlon Inc on Monday reached a restructuring agreement which would turn over ownership of the company to its lenders and wipe out current shareholders. Revlon now has the support of a faction of critical secured lenders and its unsecured creditors, who had previously been at odds during the company's bankruptcy. The restructuring agreement requires Revlon to get court approval on April 3, which would allow the company to exit bankruptcy on April 17, 2023. Revlon has said it is exploring a sale of the company as a potential exit from Chapter 11. The restructuring agreement allows Revlon to pursue a sale, as long as the offer is high enough to fully repay the Brandco lenders.

If successful, their challenge could eliminate the Brandco lenders' right to claim Revlon's brands as their exclusive collateral, reducing the Brandco lenders' leverage in the bankruptcy. Both lender groups participated in a $2 billion loan that Revlon used to purchase Elizabeth Arden in 2016. Revlon and an attorney for the Brandco lenders did not immediately respond to a request for comment. When Revlon filed for bankruptcy in June, the Brandco lenders held about $1.88 billion of Revlon's $3.5 billion debt. Those transactions allowed Revlon to borrow an additional $880 million in 2020 from the Brandco lenders, according to the complaint.
