Though fraught with obstacles, the decision to bring abortion back to the fore was one Tusk had to make. Donald Tusk leads a broad coalition which is divided on how to tackle the issue of abortion. Third Way lawmakers have also supported a referendum on changes to the abortion law, a potentially long-running saga that Tusk is eager to avoid. Poland’s near-total abortion banThe move by PiS to dramatically toughen already restrictive abortion laws in 2020 set off a heated fight in Polish politics whose ruptures are still closely felt. That effort was blocked by opposition lawmakers, many of whom now find themselves in Tusk’s coalition.

I owned the Fisker Ocean. It was a nightmare.

Earlier this year, YouTuber Marques Brownlee said the Fisker Ocean was the "worst car I've ever reviewed." I thought the Fisker Ocean was a great option, based on the price and a nice marketing message around the sustainability of the vehicle. I reported the issue to Fisker right away and I struggled to get them to come out and service it. FiskerAt first, Fisker sent out a roadside assistance guy to jump the car and the car wouldn't jump. Regarding the owner's seat-sensor issue, the Fisker spokesperson said the seat sensor was a "routine fix for some early vehicles."

CNN —For sale: A brand new luxury electric SUV for the holy-grail price of $25,000. The California-based electric SUV company Fisker faces a real possibility of bankruptcy, and its stock is hovering just over 2 cents a share, far below its 2021 peak of $28.50. Prices for Fisker’s Ocean SUV have been cut by as much 39%. His video was titled, “This is the Worst Car I’ve Ever Reviewed.”“Do not buy this version of the Fisker Ocean,” reads the video’s description. Fisker has said that problems with early versions of the vehicles’ software caused some of the negative responses.

Joz said people thought the iPhone was huge back then, but now the iPhone 15 has a massive display. Advertisement"Go back and look at the original iPhone," Joz said in the interview. "And now you look at this you know, massive beautiful display and edge to edge, it's just pretty damn sweet, Brian," Joz said, referring to his iPhone 15 (the marketing exec naturally took the opportunity to say the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Max were his top three iPhones). In comparison to the original iPhone, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is nearly double its size, with a 6.69-inch screen frame. Later that same year, a factory-sealed 4GB original iPhone fetched $190,372.80 at auction — more than 317 times the original price tag.

CNN —Shares of Fisker, a California-based electric vehicle startup, were halted Monday. Its sole product, the Fisker Ocean electric SUV, was produced in Austria under contract by third-party manufacturer Magna Steyr. Last year, 10,000 SUVs were produced but, in its earnings report, the company said only about half had been delivered to customers. The video was titled, “This is the Worst Car I’ve Ever Reviewed.”“Do not buy this version of the Fisker Ocean,” reads the video’s description. But, besides its own quality issues, Fisker had to deal with much greater competition from established automakers than had existed when the company was established.

AdvertisementAuto expert Sandy Munro took a Tesla Cybertruck on a mini road trip and had one main complaint — the truck can be difficult to maneuver at times. Instead, Tesla has a rearview camera that displays on the truck's massive infotainment system. The auto expert is far from the first to express frustration with backing up in the Cybertruck. "A camera feed constantly runs on the center screen, but I still checked the rearview mirror out of habit every few minutes." "You have to be cognizant all the time that this is a big truck," Munro said of the Cybertruck.

Wilson created a futuristic airless basketball that's getting all the hype on social media, and the $2,500 price tag didn't stop it from selling out. The limited edition Airless Gen 1 is a 3D printed basketball that allows air to pass through it — unlike a traditional basketball that's pumped with air. Wilson's airless basketball is getting a lot of hype online. The most immediate difference between the Airless Gen 1 and a regular basketball — other than appearance — is the sound. The Ely Shoshone, Duckwater Shoshone, and the Confederated Tribes of the Goshute Reservation — a coalition representing about 1,500 enrolled tribal members — are lobbying the federal government to designate nearly 40 square miles (100 square kilometers) as Bahsahwahbee National Monument. He testified in a multi-decade legal battle alongside ranchers, local officials and environmental groups who all opposed the project by the Southern Nevada Water Authority. Protecting water for sacred trees is not something the agency had previously done, Sullivan said. Even if the land becomes a national monument, the water beneath Bahsahwahbee would remain under the state’s jurisdiction. The Southern Nevada Water Authority supports a monument designation that allows for the continuation of existing ranching and agricultural activities, said Bronson Mack, water authority spokesman.

AI Has a Trust Problem. Can Blockchain Help?

Blockchain is best known as the ledger of cryptocurrencies. Some tech vendors say the technology could track in granular detail the data that artificial intelligence is trained on, and could be useful when AI churns out dubious results. Photo: Omar Marques/Zuma PressThe difficulty of ensuring artificial intelligence algorithms are safe, unbiased and accurate is turning some companies to a technology once hyped as transformative, but that has failed to catch on in business: blockchain. Known for underpinning bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, blockchain is a data structure that makes it possible to create a digital ledger of transactions and share it among a network of computers. Once a transaction is made, the blockchain remains an immutable record of it.

POLAND - 2023/08/01: In this photo illustration, a Coinbase logo displayed on a smartphone with stock server lights in the background. France's AMF watchdog gave Coinbase a virtual asset service provider (VASP) approval, which is effectively a green light for the company to operate digital currency services in France. The VASP registration will allow Coinbase to offer custody of digital assets, buying or selling digital assets in legal tender, trading of digital assets against other digital assets, and operating a digital asset trading platform, the company said in a statement Thursday. The European Union has been working to introduce its Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation, which would create a harmonized framework for crypto companies to operate in a regulated way in the bloc. Under MiCA, rather than having to secure registration in every EU market, crypto companies will eventually be able to use their VASP license in one country and "passport" into other countries to offer their services across the EU.
