Jerusalem CNN —An Israeli man was seriously wounded and two girls were hurt in a shooting in the West Bank, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israeli emergency services said Sunday. The shooting took place in the Israeli-occupied southern West Bank, which is normally calmer than the north. Palestinian sources said Israeli troops were searching every car as they looked for the suspects, creating a traffic jam lasting at least two hours on a day when Israel and the West Bank are suffering a heatwave. Most of the recent violence in the West Bank has taken place in the region’s north, especially in Jenin and Nablus. Both those cities have seen Israel carry out deadly anti-terror raids and Palestinian militants attacking civilians, sometimes in response to the IDF operations.

CNN —Eight people were injured after a car driver rammed into pedestrians near a Tel Aviv shopping center and then got out of the vehicle to stab civilians, Israeli officials said Tuesday. Hamas praised the attack in Tel Aviv, a statement by the militant group’s spokesman Abdel Latif Al-Kanoa said. “The heroic operation of Tel Aviv is the beginning of the response to the aggression of the Zionist occupation on Jenin,” Al-Kanoa said.

CNN —Two men have been wounded in what Israeli police say was a suspected “terror attack” that took place near the Shimon Hatzadik tomb in East Jerusalem early Tuesday local time. The country's Magen David Adom emergency services said police killed the gunman at the crime scene, according to Reuters, Associated Press, and CNN. The shooting occurred during worship services on International Holocaust Remembrance Day and comes a day after Israeli forces killed nine Palestinians and injured others in Jenin, according to reporting from CNN. The Israeli army says most of the Palestinians killed have been militants. At least five more Israelis have been killed in Palestinian attacks in recent weeks.
