A Colorado jury on Monday rejected an insanity defense and convicted the man who gunned down 10 people at a Boulder supermarket three years ago of murder. Some of the four people killed in a deadly Alabama shooting had "extensive criminal" histories and might have been killed in a "cowardly" murder-for-hire hit, authorities said Monday. Law enforcement was contacted by a civilian on Sept. 18 who said that Routh had dropped off a box at his residence several months earlier, the filing said.
