Aurrigo has developed a four-seater "auto pod" with no steering wheel or pedals for slow non-road routes such as on university campuses. The company has also designed the "Auto-Dolly" and "Auto-DollyTug" for airports and is working with Singapore's Changi Airport, its lead customer, to automate baggage handling. But Aurrigo's CEO said airports provide the perfect environment because all vehicles travel at low speeds. Aurrigo is currently talking to 80 airports about following Changi's lead and Keene said the typical airport will need between 300 and 500 dollies. The IPO raised only 8 million pounds ($10 million), but Keene said that should pay for the rollout of airport dolly AVs.

Walt Disney World has closed its famous Splash Mountain water ride, the Magic Kingdom attraction that for years had been criticized for having racist roots. Democrat Aaron Rouse has won a special election for a state Senate seat in Virginia after his Republican opponent conceded in a race that was widely viewed as a proxy fight over abortion. Democrats will have a 22-18 majority in the state Senate, and Rouse is expected to provide a crucial vote against efforts by Gov. “Reproductive rights and freedom in Virginia have been hanging by a tenuous thread, especially in the wake of Roe being overturned, and the only thing standing in the way is a one-vote margin in the Virginia state Senate," Tarina Keene, the executive director of REPRO Rising Virginia, said Wednesday. During the campaign, Rouse said protecting access to abortion was a priority, vowing on his website that he would “not compromise” on abortion rights. In his State of the Commonwealth address Wednesday, Youngkin called on the General Assembly to pass a 15-week ban.

A small plane crashed into the side of a New Hampshire home killing everyone on board, officials in the city of Keene said late Friday. Unfortunately those on the plane have perished,” the city said in a Facebook post. The aircraft came down near the Keene Airport, the post said. Steve Tenney told the station that he did not have any information about the passengers and crew on board the aircraft, how many there were, or why the plane came down. CNN —Former “Days of Our Lives” actor James Lastovic and his roommate are safe after his mother said they went missing while out on hiking in Hawaii. According to her post, the pair “asked for info about KOKEE state PARK so they could take the long trail hike.”Early Wednesday, the elder Lastovic posted an update saying that the two were “safe and sound” in Kauai. “UPDATE: my sister and james are okay, they got lost on their hike but made it back to their car and are on their way back to resort now,” the posting read. James Lastovic played Joey Johnson from 2015 to 2017 on “Days of Our Lives” and returned briefly in 2020. He also played Christian Keene in the TV series “Insatiable,” and Cane in the 2021 film, “This Game’s Called Murder.”
