August 16 - The Atlanta Braves will send veteran right-hander Charlie Morton to the mound in search of the team's 11th series sweep on Wednesday night when they host the New York Yankees in the finale of their three-game set.
The Braves recorded an 11-3 win in the series opener Monday and took the second game 5-0 Tuesday to guarantee their first series win over the Yankees since 2001.
While Atlanta has won five of its last six games, the Yankees have lost four consecutive contests to drop to .500 for the season.
In his last outing on Friday against the New York Mets, Morton pitched five shutout innings, allowing three hits, a career-high seven walks and four strikeouts in the Braves' 7-0 win.
The Braves placed Ozzie Albies on the 10-day injured list with a strained hamstring and optioned outfielder Forrest Wall to Triple-A Gwinnett.
