More than any film I’ve made, “Tenet” was designed to have this very theatrical, IMAX, larger than life identity. VILLENEUVE: It was not planned that I would get an IMAX film release. Or, I didn’t leave film, film left me and my heart was broken. NOLAN: I just like hearing the guy who made “Dune Two” be like “it’s all about money.” I’ve seen that film. Time isn’t inverting: Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” is coming back to movie theaters for a week in IMAX 70mm and on other large-format screens. The limited re-release of Nolan’s mind-bender starring John David Washington will begin on Feb. 23, Warner Bros. The showings will also feature new footage from Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two,” which opens a week later on March 1. “On ‘Dune,’ we shot several sequences for IMAX, and I simply loved it, so for ‘Dune: Part Two,’ we pushed it to 100 percent of the movie,” Villeneuve said in a statement. “I am just as eager to see ‘Tenet’ again, but now in 70mm IMAX, the way they filmed it, to fully appreciate his vision for this incredible film,” Villeneuve added.

CNN —Let’s face it, people generally don’t come to Godzilla-related projects for the actors and drama, which is basically the leap that “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” asks viewers to make. Stretched into a multi-generational Apple TV+ series, the show is as much a Titan-ic soap opera as a monster mash, proving mildly watchable but without enough of the city-leveling antics for which the big guy is known. Godzilla appears, occasionally, in the Apple TV+ series "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters." For that latter contingent, “Legacy of Monsters” should be mildly entertaining, but even with Apple’s sizable investment, it too often feels like a gigantic donut with a Godzilla-shaped hole in the middle. “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” premieres November 17 on Apple TV+.
