Founded in 1930, Girona plays its football at the modest 14,000-capacity Estadi Montilivi on the outskirts of a city that has a population of just 100,000. Space company Astrobotic's lunar lander won't reach the moon after a fuel leak. Most space companies don't operate like SpaceX does, they said, which can lead to mistakes. The NASA-backed mission was meant to be the first time a private company's spacecraft landed on the moon. This is far from the first time a private space company has experienced an anomaly . JPMorgan head of technical strategy Jason Hunter said the S & P 500 in 2024 is in for a stark reversal back toward its bear lows. "Stocks should pull back, [and] in my base case on the technical side, the S & P 500 is gonna drop to 3,500," Hunter told CNBC's " Squawk Box " on Monday. Hunter pinned his bearish outlook for the S & P 500 to a looming recession risk that could come to fruition despite a soft landing and hinder stock prices as a result. .SPX YTD mountain The S & P 500 has ticked up roughly 20% from the start of the year. That happens to be the year the Met last put on a Spanish-language opera, and there’s something amusing in the fact that next to nothing in “Florencia,” which premiered in Houston in 1996, would have surprised an audience back then. You almost want to applaud the impressive, if perverse, achievement of a score that so thoroughly rejects all the galvanic musical developments since the early 1900s, when the opera is set. The action — hardly complex, but crowded — takes place aboard a steamboat in the Amazon rainforest. The passengers are on their way to hear the great diva Florencia Grimaldi sing at the Belle Époque opera house in Manaus, Brazil. There’s a swooning pair of young lovers, and a bickering married couple; a would-be Grimaldi biographer and a mystical narrator; oh, and Florencia, too, somehow unrecognized by everyone else and returning to Manaus in search of her lover, a butterfly hunter she lost long ago.

Online job adverts fell by 1.6% in September from August, bucking the usual end-of-summer bounce in job postings, and advertised salaries fell by the same amount, Adzuna said. "September traditionally sees a surge in job market activity but the figures we're seeing this year could signal a cooling off of the job market, which had shown signs of resilience earlier in the year," Adzuna co-founder Andrew Hunter said. The Office for National Statistics said earlier this month its measure of job vacancies fell to a two-year low of 988,000 in the three months to September. Separately on Monday, a survey showed small businesses recovering a bit of their lost confidence but the overall mood remained negative. Martin McTague, FSB's national chair, said the survey showed signs of stabilisation after 18 months of surging costs.

Hunter led the Buffaloes with 13 catches for 140 yards and two touchdowns in his first game in nearly a month, and he collected five solo tackles on defense. Hunter celebrated his much-anticipated return to action with a 24-yard catch-and-run touchdown in the first quarter. When the Buffaloes started out on defense against Stanford (2-4, 1-3), Hunter received a big hug from his coach as he trotted out to play cornerback. When the Buffaloes forced a quick punt and got the ball for the first time, Hunter lined up wide right. Hunter returned to the game but later left to go to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a lacerated liver.

That changed in September when U.S. central bank officials themselves sensed that progress on housing inflation might have stalled. Data released on Thursday confirmed a jump in shelter prices that, for a month at least, bucked the trend. "The uptick in housing inflation this month was the key surprise. Housing inflation will need to decline sharply over the coming months for us to see inflation near 2%." In the list of risks for inflation to remain elevated, Fed officials in September pointed to "the effects of a strong housing market."
