US consumers are struggling with soaring credit card debt and rising interest rates. Credit card debt is now at record levels, and interest rates on those cards have soared. AdvertisementOf that total debt, credit card balances are growing the fastest. While this could create a parallel between today's credit card crisis and the mortgage crisis of 15 years ago, there are a few important differences today. AdvertisementStill, the rise in credit card debt and delinquencies could point to cracks in the strength of Americans' spending power.

The team leader has remained defiant in his denial of claims of misconduct made to parent company Red Bull, which two weeks ago announced it had launched an independent investigation into the claims. Mark Rushbrook, global head of Ford Performance Motorsport, said Friday at Daytona International Speedway that Ford is awaiting the outcome of the investigation into Horner. "It appears to us, and what we've been told, was that Red Bull is taking the situation very seriously. “I think it’s been very clear and the position of Red Bull has been that it’s business as normal. As always, Browne’s models did not strut a runway but instead were players in his fantasy, walking deliberately and serenely around a wintry wasteland filled with snow and bare trees. Of nearly 50 looks, everything was in black-and-white — typical of Browne's color discipline — with a little gold at the end. In the second, black birds emblazoned a white coat that itself covered a black jacket and skirt. And there was a rare hint of skin for the label — a sheer black blouse covered with roses and a sheer skirt. Indeed, Coon ended it with frightening screams of “Nevermore!” But for Browne and his audience it was Valentine's Day.

MOSCOW (AP) — More than 300,000 people have signed a petition calling for a Russian train conductor to lose her job after she threw a pet cat off a train, believing it was a stray. The white and ginger tom cat, known as Twix, escaped from his carrier on a train traveling between Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg on Jan. 11. Volunteers reported that Twix had perished from the severe cold and suffered a number of suspected animal bites. Others reshared viral footage of the cat being dropped into the snow in temperatures approaching -22 Fahrenheit (-30 Celsius). “We sincerely regret the death of Twix the cat and apologize to his owners,” the company said in a statement on social media.

The DeSantis and Haley camps each believed they would benefit if the other left the field and created an unambiguous one-on-one race with Trump. In fact, both the Trump and DeSantis campaigns believe that more of the Florida governor’s supporters will likely pick Trump. Any gain or loss for Haley among voters from DeSantis’ decision seems likely to affect the race only marginally, many GOP observers believe. Even at that point in the 2016 race, Trump had won only a cumulative 40% of the votes cast in the GOP primaries. His theory that he could peel away a meaningful number of previous Trump voters simply proved wrong.

Why the controversial mullet is having a moment
  + stars: | 2024-01-17 | by ( Fawnia Soo Hoo | ) edition.cnn.com   time to read: +10 min
Long hair, don’t careThe “modern day” mullet largely originates from David Bowie’s genre-defining and gender-norm defying persona, Ziggy Stardust, Glasscock said. “People from the Continental Congress wore what we would read as a full metal, 1992 mullet,” said Glasscock. (“Hockey hair” was, meanwhile, a popular synonym for mullet at the time, given its prominence among players and fans.) Devin Yalkin/Courtesy A24While playing Kerry Von Erich in “The Iron Claw,” White also wore his dynamic, sweeping mullet off-set — but not entirely by choice. “I was like, ‘I’m sorry, here’s a ponytail holder.”But that dedication may have played an integral part in a mullet revival kicking off 2024.

The Blue Zones meals were tasty and convenient but left me hungryThis is not enough lunch for me. One of the most exciting discoveries in Blue Zones research is that the ingredients linked to longevity aren't expensive , exotic, or hard to prepare, and they are satiating too. The Blue Zones Kitchen Minestrone Casserole is currently on sale at Whole Foods for $6.99, almost five times that price. Building flavor for healthy food you'll actually be excited to eat is also easier than you might think. All in all, I'm thrilled we have the option for Blue Zones cooking to-go, but am still hungry for more.
