LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y.— JetBlue Airways Chief Executive Robin Hayes pulled up a flight tracking app on his smartphone and ticked off real-time flight delay stats for his and other airlines. JetBlue had the lowest rate of delayed flights of any major U.S. airline on this mid-January weekday. On-time arrivals were running around 94% for the day, two points shy of the airline’s all-time record, airline President Joanna Geraghty boasted.

The Wall Street Journal has revealed its annual list of the best and worst airlines in the US. Delta Air Lines took the top spot, while JetBlue Airways lagged behind competitors. According to aviation data company Anuvu, which provided the numbers for WSJ's rankings, Delta had the best on-time arrival rate of 81.7%. A former Ohio middle school teacher said she was forced to resign after she told her boss that she would not address students by their preferred pronouns because it violates her religious beliefs. The teacher, Vivian Geraghty, is now suing Jackson Memorial Middle School's principal, the Board of Education, and two district employees. The lawsuit notes that the school had adopted a policy that required teachers to use the preferred pronouns of students. Geraghty told Carter that she would not use the students' preferred pronouns, the suit says she was later called into a separate meeting with Carter and Monica Myers, a district employee. Geraghty again said she would not use the students' preferred pronouns and was sent back to her classroom.

Lideri comunitari, reprezentanți ai consiliilor raionale/locale de tineret și ai societății civile, parteneri și beneficiari ai proiectului s-au reunit online, la 22 decembrie curent, în cadrul unui eveniment de totalizare a rezultatelor obținute în urma activităților din toamna 2020, dar și pentru a împărtăși reușitele și experiențele acumulate în cadrul proiectului. “Este foarte important de a reaminti tinerilor despre responsabilitatea de a merge la vot și de a-i încuraja să își exercite dreptul la vot. Acest proiect a fost similar cu eforturile din Statele Unite, pentru că nu a făcut partizanat politic și nu a încurajat votul pentru un candidat/-ă sau altul/-ta. Evenimentul a fost realizat în cadrul proiectului “Exersează-ți dreptul la vot - Informarea tinerilor alegători despre procesul electoral și procedura de vot”, cu susținerea și finanțat de un grant oferit de Departamentul de Stat al SUA.
