To see a rainbow make a perfect, full circle, you'd need to see it from a plane in the air. This happens for very small droplets, such as a fine mist, or just after a rain shower when the air is just moist. You need very small water droplets in order for a rainbow to form. If you are flying a little above the cloud cover, keep a lookout for the small shadow of your plane on the clouds. The clouds are tiny water droplets, so chances are you may see a small circle of color around the shadow of the airplane.
JPMorgan Chase is abandoning a hybrid attendance policy it adopted during the pandemic and requiring executives to return to the office. On Wednesday, JPMorgan, the nation's largest bank by assets, said it will now mandate that all managing directors come to the office five days a week. In 2021, he wrote in his annual note to shareholders that he envisioned many JPMorgan employees returning to the office full-time, while allowing for exceptions. Tracking attendance is not only important to manage hybrid work schedules but also for real estate, resiliency and security purposes. In the meantime, you can find many useful tools and resources on the Hybrid Working page.
The banking crisis drove regional bank stocks sharply lower this week, but many insiders took advantage of the turmoil to scoop up shares of their own institutions in what may prove a vote of confidence. Containers sit at the GCT New York container terminal on Staten Island on October 20, 2022, in New York City. The Port of Long Beach moved 9.13 million TEUs last year. "These 9.5 million TEUs is more than 27% of 2019 levels," said Bethann Rooney, port director of the Port of New York and New Jersey. "This is not sustainable if we are going to handle 14 million TEUs in the not too distant future," she said. If they have stability on the West Coast, it doesn't really make sense to spend the extra two weeks crossing to go to the East Coast.

A fleet of 500 drones lit up the New York City skyline with a Candy Crush advertisement on Thursday. While it didn't contribute significantly to light pollution in New York, astronomers say the event is a sign of our dwindling relationship with the night sky. A heart formed by by 500 drones over the New York City skyline, on November 3, 2022. It might not be as deadly as other kinds of pollution, but light pollution can harm animals and people. Many studies have indicated that light pollution — from streetlights, light displays, and other sources — disorients migratory birds and plays a role in insect population decline.
This comes as the flow of trade continues to move away from the West Coast with logistics managers worried about a labor strike or lockout. More East Coast trade, and more port congestionThe CNBC Supply Chain Heat Map for the U.S. shows how the continued increase in trade has East Coast ports and Gulf port as the winners in this movement of freight.
