The University of North Texas Health Science Center will stop accepting unclaimed bodies following an NBC News investigation that documented how the Fort Worth program cut up and leased out the remains of poor people for training and research without consent from the dead or their families. The move was prompted, she said, by documents uncovered while responding to reporters’ public-records requests about the center’s Willed Body Program. Among the revelations were “a lack of sufficient controls and oversight” of how outside companies handled and used corpses provided by the Health Science Center. Former President Donald Trump said Thursday that he will not participate in any future debates against Vice President Kamala Harris. "There will be no debate," he said in all-caps on his Truth Social website, before criticizing the vice president's debate performance. Trump has claimed the moderators were unfair and was initially noncommittal about participating in another matchup with Harris. In multiple TruthSocial posts, Trump had said he was considering debate offers from Fox, CBS and NBC. During an interview with "Fox and Friends" on Wednesday, host Steve Doocy said the network on Tuesday night had offered the Trump and Harris campaigns three potential dates in October for an additional debate.

CNN —A judge on Thursday threw out three charges in the sweeping Georgia election subversion case, including two charges that former President Donald Trump faces. In a separate ruling, Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee also upheld the marquee racketeering charge in the case, which Trump is also facing. In the ruling, McAfee also threw out a separate count of filing false documents, which Trump was charged with. Trump was only named in two of the three charges that McAfee threw out Thursday. The awkward ruling from McAfee comes as he has only partial jurisdiction over the 2020 election meddling case.
