CNN —A SpaceX mission due to take flight Saturday aims to unite the Boeing Starliner astronauts with the spacecraft that will bring them home. NASA’s Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore have already been on the International Space Station more than 100 days longer than expected. The two rode the Starliner to the International Space Station in early June for what was expected to be about a weeklong test flight. At liftoff, Hague and Gorbunov will be strapped inside the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft, nicknamed Freedom, as it sits atop a Falcon 9 rocket. Gorbunov and Hague will join them after docking with the space station, set for Sunday.

Texas starting quarterback Quinn Ewers will not play on Saturday against Mississippi State, the school announced, meaning redshirt freshman Arch Manning will make his second career start in the Longhorns’ SEC opener. Ewers has been recovering from a strained oblique suffered in the second quarter of Texas’ Sept. 14 win against UTSA. Ewers was listed as questionable when the SEC released its daily availability report on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night. Texas is off next week and faces Oklahoma in the annual Red River rivalry on Oct. 12 in Dallas. Manning had an up-and-down performance in his first start last week, completing 15 of 29 passes.

At a local store called Thirst, she tried a classic dirty soda combination: Dr Pepper with coconut cream and a raspberry syrup. Dirty soda is a non-alcoholic drink combined with creams, flavored syrups or fruit. What surprised Myrick the most about dirty soda shops was the sheer quantity of choices. Soda shops will have to continue to make the drinks relevant even once social media moves on, especially with such lofty growth goals. “It’s tough here because the vibe of the soda shops is a drive-through.”

Immigrants expected to boost the economyThere are several reasons why immigrants largely benefit the economy and job market, economists said. Immigrants take jobs but they also create new ones by spending in local economies and by starting businesses, economists said. One 2020 research paper from the National Bureau of Economic Research found immigrants are 80% more likely to become entrepreneurs than native workers. To the extent there's job competition from new immigrants, it tends to fall mostly on prior immigrants rather than native U.S. workers, according to the National Academies paper. "Sudden surges of immigration obviously affect the ability of native workers to find and take jobs on a given afternoon," Clemens said.
