File photo of Israeli F-16 fighter jets performing during an air show over the beach in the Israeli coastal city of Tel Aviv on May 5, 2022. Crude oil futures rose Friday as Israel is reportedly preparing for a direct attack by Iran this weekend, in what would be the biggest escalation of Middle East tensions since the start of the Israel-Hamas war last October. Israel is preparing for a direct attack by Iran on southern or northern Israel as soon as Friday or Saturday, a person familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal. A person briefed by Iran's leadership told the Journal that no final decision has been made, though plans for a strike are under discussion. The U.S. embassy in Jerusalem Thursday restricted government employees and their family from personal travel outside Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Be'er Sheva "out of an abundance of caution" until further notice.

When I hit my 20s, my health started to change. I also learned that I had Lyme Disease — maybe from a tick bite at Yosemite — which can trigger autoimmune responses. And since 80% of autoimmune patients are women, it became clear to me that this was a women's health crisis that no one was paying attention to. In 2022, I launched WellTheory, a virtual care platform that offers evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle coaching to mitigate autoimmune symptoms. Madix, the 38-year-old "Vanderpump Rules" star and "Dancing with the Stars" contestant, made her Broadway debut in January as the murderous Roxie Hart in "Chicago." In much the same way as Hart, Madix has had her own ascent to fame — which makes her performance in "Chicago" a delightful, over-the-top example of revenge success. There’s much we don’t know about why Nex Benedict, a nonbinary teenager in Owasso, Okla., died a day after a fight in a high school bathroom. We know that 16-year-old Nex, who often went by they/them pronouns with peers, was bullied at school. We know that Nex didn’t report the recent encounters to teachers or school officials. We know that Nex responded to the harassment by pouring water on the students, but we also know the bathroom fight didn’t appear to be an even match. The family’s attorney stated that the teen was “attacked and assaulted in a bathroom by a group of other students.” Nex collapsed at home the next day.

CNN —A 16-year-old student died following a fight at an Oklahoma high school – and as an investigation into the cause of death continues, advocates point to a heightened and hostile climate against the LGBTQ+ community. Nex Benedict, whose family says identified as nonbinary, died February 8, one day after they told their family they and a transgender student were involved in a fight with others at Owasso High School. It is not clear if or how the fight contributed to Nex’s death. An Owasso school resource officer went to Bailey Medical Center, where Nex was examined, and interviewed both Nex and their parent about the incident. Nex’s death comes after advocates have strongly criticized Oklahoma officials for actions perceived as targeting LGBTQ+ residents.
