Interim Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw said Damon's actions were "unacceptable and are not tolerated at this department." Supervisors at the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the agency which manages the jail, referred Damon's actions to Tampa Police's standards bureau. Tampa Police Department had revised its protocols in 2013 following a similar incident with uncooperative prisoners. The Jackson County Dive Team found Payan after cutting holes into the surface of a frozen pond on his property to search the water. Payan was a doctor of osteopathic medicine with a board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, according to his biography with Henry Ford Health. He studied at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his residency in psychiatry at Henry Ford Allegiance Health.

Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with an anti-Semitic attack in Central Park in New York. The assault occurred at the intersection of East Drive and Terrace Drive, a short walk east of the Bethesda Terrace in Central Park.
The U.S. Coast Guard recovered the body of a woman who fell overboard from a cruise ship that was returning to Florida early Thursday morning. A 36-year-old woman, who was not identified, was found 18 miles from the shore of Port Canaveral, according to the Coast Guard's southeast district. "The crew performed an immediate search and rescue operation, alongside the US Coast Guard who supported search efforts with boats and a helicopter," MSC Cruises said. "Unfortunately, despite the rapid rescue operation, the passenger sustained fatal injuries. The Coast Guard is investigating the cause of the woman's fall and did not have additional details Thursday.

A fourth grade student was charged on two felony counts after allegedly bringing a firearm to school in August, an Arizona prosecutor's office announced Monday. In a Facebook post last week, the government agency warned visitors against licking the toads if they stumble across them. People have exploited the toad's toxin as psychedelic, smoking it to experience euphoria and hallucinations, according to the Oakland Zoo.
