He studied at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his residency in psychiatry at Henry Ford Allegiance Health.

The New York Police Department is asking for tips after a suspect assaulted a 63-year-old man in Central Park last week. At about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, a man hit the 63-year-old in the back of the head after making antisemitic remarks, police said. Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has recently made a string of public comments amplifying antisemitic stereotypes and conspiracy theories. Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with an anti-Semitic attack in Central Park in New York. The assault occurred at the intersection of East Drive and Terrace Drive, a short walk east of the Bethesda Terrace in Central Park.

The U.S. Coast Guard recovered the body of a woman who fell overboard from a cruise ship that was returning to Florida early Thursday morning. A 36-year-old woman, who was not identified, was found 18 miles from the shore of Port Canaveral, according to the Coast Guard's southeast district. "The crew performed an immediate search and rescue operation, alongside the US Coast Guard who supported search efforts with boats and a helicopter," MSC Cruises said. "Unfortunately, despite the rapid rescue operation, the passenger sustained fatal injuries. The Coast Guard is investigating the cause of the woman's fall and did not have additional details Thursday.

New research released Wednesday adds to a growing body of evidence showing a link between more restrictive abortion policies and higher rates of maternal and infant mortality. According to the report, states that heavily restricted abortion access in 2020 had maternal death rates that were 62% higher than they were in states where abortion was more easily accessible. "Then, on top of all that, you're adding this variation in abortion services, reproductive health services, by states," Zephyrin said. Their report isn't the only one that has documented a correlation between abortion restrictions and higher maternal and infant mortality. A fourth grade student was charged on two felony counts after allegedly bringing a firearm to school in August, an Arizona prosecutor's office announced Monday. The charges stem from an Aug. 25 incident at Legacy Traditional School. Queen Creek Police Department said they responded to the school after reports a student had a firearm, NBC affiliate KPNX reported at the time. “Given the inherent danger involved with a gun being on a school campus, PCAO must take this seriously,” Volkmer said in Monday's press release. The Pinal County Attorney's office did not have additional information regarding representation.
