Model Bella Hadid issued a statement after starring in a controversial Adidas campaign that the sportswear company said had an "unintentional" connection to a bloody terrorist attack. The ad campaign for Adidas' new retro trainers, called the SL72s, was a nod to the 1972 Munich Olympics. Released earlier in July, the advertisement featured Hadid holding a bouquet of flowers while wearing the shoes, which originally debuted in 1972 for the Munich Olympics. Hadid said she was not aware of the connection to the historical events of the 1972 Munich Olympics, and that she would not have taken part in the campaign had she known. Mary Riche, 76, is a devoted member of the Democratic Party faithful. She isn’t an elected politician or a highly paid party operative, but a loyal part of the rank and file who has supported state and national Democrats since the 1970s, hosted fund-raisers in her Iowa home and enthusiastically knocked on doors for candidates. On Thursday night during the first presidential debate of the campaign, she was watching television and texting with her “posse,” a close circle of Democratic friends. “Finally, I just posted the crying emoji,” she said in a coffee shop in Des Moines on Friday. “I was embarrassed that my candidate was appearing as if he was incoherent.

But predicting the outcome of France's final vote on July 7 is less clear-cut, given the complexity of France's voting system. Voter turnout for the national election is also expected to be larger — and therefore more representative — than the 51% who cast their ballot in the EU vote. With that in mind, analysts see a 30% to 40% chance of the National Rally winning the 289 seats needed to secure an absolute majority in the 577-seat National Assembly. A majority government for either the far-right or the ultraleft alliance, meanwhile, could spark a far more dramatic outcome.

The collection featured couture made from muslin "toiles" as well as intricate embroidery and needlework in gold, silver and bronze. CNN —The world’s tallest male dog, a Great Dane named Kevin, has died just days after his title was announced, Guinness World Records (GWR) said on Monday. His family, who live in West Des Moines, Iowa, have been left “devastated,” his owner Tracy Wolfe said in GWR press release. from Guinness World Records“I don’t think he’s aware he is as big as he is,” Tracy said earlier this month. Eventually, he was named the world’s tallest male dog, taking over the title from fellow Great Dane Zeus who also died aged three in September, after suffering from bone cancer. Great Danes have relatively short life expectancies compared to smaller dogs, living for an average of 8-10 years, and males are typically about 2.5 feet (0.76 meters) tall, according to the American Kennel Club.
