But one that could foreshadow India's growth story. Can Teleperformance's stock plunge be the canary in the coal mine for what is likely to happen to India because of AI? But it's likely to be a blip for India's growth trajectory, given the macro forces at play. Besides creating jobs that are less likely to be immediately disrupted by AI, India could also be a net beneficiary of artificial intelligence. The Indian stock market indexes, Sensex and Nifty 50 , are heading for a positive week again — up by 1% and 1.2%, respectively.

A deal like this would allow Google to better compete with Salesforce in customer relationship management software, and it makes sense strategically as Google looks to grow its share in the cloud market. Deal or no deal, all the talk has made one thing clear: Wall Street is kind of obsessed with HubSpot. "With Salesforce, you need a Salesforce administrator," said Rishi Jaluria, managing director of software equity research at RBC Capital Markets. If Google does make an offer to acquire HubSpot, it will be up to HubSpot whether to accept — and it may not accept, Havemeyer wrote in the note. HubSpot has also disclosed that it is a Google Workspace customer and uses Google Cloud as its international cloud.

Semtech is "firmly entrenched as the leader" in that space due to its time to market, product performance and depth of customer relationships, Gerra noted. Shares of Semtech were up nearly 7% during midday trading but have fallen 25% over the past 12 months.

UBS reiterated a neutral rating alongside its $310 per share price target on Salesforce, or more than 3% upside ahead. Product revenue growth of 33% year over year in the fourth-quarter was also below Wall Street estimates. Murphy noted there's a disconnect between what Barrick has accomplished in the past five years and its stock price. "We see asset disposals and cost improvements as likely to reverse share price weakness as the market recognizes the strength of the asset portfolio."

Read previewWhen I first spoke to Juergen Mueller, SAP's chief technology officer, earlier this year, generative AI was the hot new thing. One issue with language models and generative AI is that it often has a cutoff point and lacks up-to-date knowledge. SAP has trained more than 50,000 of the company's 105,000 workers on what it sees as the opportunities that Gen AI brings. The worst thing is if only a few would know how and what to do with it and the majority wouldn't.
