According to the data, however, the money young people are saving on basic necessities isn't just going toward an eventual move-out; some spend on luxury items and travel. Many agree that there are cons to being under the same roof as your parents, despite the high number of young people living at home. She noted that being a young mom motivates her to spend less frivolously and put money away for the day she can move out.
Arielle Charnas founded her blog Something Navy in 2009, which evolved into a clothing brand in 2020.Insider reported that Charnas detached from promoting her brand on social media, among other missteps. Charnas' behavior shows how social media can quickly build and destroy brand loyalty. Insider published a recent article outlining late merchandising payments, meager sales, an employee exodus, and Charnas' detachment from promoting her brand on social media. For example, Charnas didn't acknowledge hiring Betty Wang as company president on social media and has been frequently photographed sporting designer clothing instead of her own products. Charnas' behavior on social media shows the positive and negative impacts the platforms can have on a business, especially when they're vital to an entrepreneur's success.

Beachgoers and lifeguards discovered the wooden structure, between 80 feet to 100 feet, poking out of the sand over Thanksgiving weekend in front of homes that collapsed into rubble on Daytona Beach Shores last month from Hurricane Nicole. “Whenever you find a shipwreck on the beach it’s really an amazing occurrence. Archaeologists study a wooden structure in the sand in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Dec. 6, 2022. The digging team members went from using shovels to trowels and then their hands as more of the frame was exposed, so as not to damage any of the wood. Or they feature commercial characters from media juggernauts, imbued with predetermined personalities and storylines that encourage children to copy, not create. Yet bestselling toys — as distinct from best — are too often those that are most advertised to kids; digitally enhanced or linked to popular media characters; or both. Companies that profit hugely from licensed characters have a vested interest in preventing children’s creative play — and stifling their creativity. Toys that promote creativity are less likely to be huge moneymakers because they can be used repeatedly in lots of different ways. These toys seem to be made with a kind of planned obsolescence, so new ones will soon be needed.

In July, I added "sex work" to my LinkedIn work experience. But at least in sex work, there's an audience and a desire for every type of body, gender, and play. Sex work may have the word "sex" in it, but most of the job — digital, in person, or otherwise — has little to do with sex. A lot of people seem to ignore the "work" part of sex work. More marketers are taking notice of California’s data privacy laws after the state said last month that cosmetics retailer Sephora had agreed to pay $1.2 million in penalties for alleged violations related to its targeted advertising practices. Some companies that have received letters have complied or begun working toward compliance, while others remain under investigation, the spokesperson said. Many companies delayed compliance because they disagree with that definition and don’t want to tell consumers that they sell data, he said. The state’s determination that Sephora didn’t process global opt-out requests played a key role in the attorney general’s decision to take action. “People see a headline about Sephora and everyone thinks they sold data,” she said.
