Boris Epshteyn, who is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on election interference charges in Arizona, has played many roles for former President Donald J. Trump. A college friend of Mr. Trump’s son Eric at Georgetown University, he would become a swaggering TV surrogate for the 2016 Trump campaign before eventually serving as Mr. Trump’s unofficial chief fixer and legal strategist. When Mr. Trump was convicted in New York last month on 34 felony counts, Mr. Epshteyn (pronounced EP-stine) was at his side, huddling with the former president and other aides after the verdict. His indictment there stems from work he did behind the scenes to try to keep Mr. Trump in power after his 2020 election loss. Shepherding a small group of advisers, he helped oversee a plan to deploy fake electors in seven battleground states lost by Mr. Trump, documents show.

Trump’s sprawling legal team, pleaded not guilty to nine felony charges on Tuesday in Arizona’s election interference case, highlighting the legal risks for the advisers and allies who attempted to keep Mr. Trump in power after he lost the 2020 presidential election. Mr. Epshteyn has held onto his baseless assertions that the election was stolen and has not wavered in his support for Mr. Trump. CNN —Boris Epshteyn, a close adviser to Donald Trump and former White House aide, pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to election subversion charges stemming from an April indictment in Arizona. Epshteyn, who appeared in court Tuesday via phone, is one of 18 defendants who, according to the indictment, “schemed to prevent the lawful transfer of the presidency to keep Unindicted Coconspirator 1 in office against the will of Arizona’s voters.”While Trump is not among those charged in Arizona, the details in the indictment suggest he is “Unindicted Coconspirator 1.”The scheme, according to the indictment, called for the fake electors to fraudulently vote for Trump, “falsely claiming to be the duly elected and qualified Electors for President and Vice President of the United States from the State of Arizona.”Epshteyn joined the Trump campaign in 2016 and is considered one of the former president’s most loyal advisers, speaking with him regularly. He was alongside Trump during his arraignment in his New York hush money case and traveled with him to arraignments in Georgia and Washington, DC. Others charged in the indictment include former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, along with former Trump attorneys Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman and Christina Bobb. All have pleaded not guilty.

The task force suggested that extensive and intensive behavioral interventions are the best way to help a child get to a healthy weight. A high BMI for a child is defined a little differently than it is for adults, although both use height and weight to estimate mass. Nearly 20% of children in the US have what’s considered a high BMI. The task force gives its guidelines letter grades based on the most up-to-date science. Under the Affordable Care Act, private insurers must cover preventive services that get a grade of A or B; the new child obesity recommendations got a B grade.
