RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou shockingly went the distance in his boxing debut early Sunday morning, even knocking down reigning WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury at one point, but Fury remained undefeated after winning a split decision. Two judges gave Fury the fight by scores of 96-93 and 95-94, and the other judge favored Ngannou 95-94. Good thing for Fury, because Ngannou showed early in the scheduled 10-round fight that he wasn't going anywhere. Ngannou staggered Fury early in the fourth, but Fury stayed on his feet and the rest of the round was fairly even after that. Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, who also made the trip to Saudi Arabia, helped Ngannou get ready for his boxing debut.

Needing 19 runs off Mitchell Starc's final over, New Zealand milked 13 runs off the first four legitimate deliveries to keep the heat on Australia. "That was awesome," Australia captain Pat Cummins said after their fourth win in six matches. Glenn Phillips broke the burgeoning stand by taking a return catch to dismiss Warner, but Head raced to a 59-ball century. New Zealand were uncharacteristically sloppy in the field, dropping five catches, with Head the beneficiary on two occasions. That left Ferguson with the job of hitting the final delivery for six, but he drilled it straight to the cover fielder instead.

New Zealand have the luxury of back-to-back games in the former British hill station where they face a resurgent Australia on Saturday. With the town also the base of the Tibetan government-in-exile, New Zealand players jumped at the chance to meet the organisation's spiritual leader. "This morning most of the group went to meet the Dalai Lama in person at his residence which was amazing," said batsman Will Young. "The boys have had a good chance to obviously get stuck into the cricket but also have a bit of down-time as well." With a 4-1 record midway through the group phase, 2019 runners-up New Zealand are sitting pretty at third in the standings.

Twice champions India left out an injured Hardik Pandya and fellow all-rounder Shardul Thakur bringing in batter Suryakumar Yadav and seamer Mohammed Shami. Rohit said India relished chasing on a track, where dew could make bowling difficult in the second innings. "In training yesterday we thought dew came in early," Rohit said. New Zealand, who are without regular skipper Kane Williamson, fielded the same team that beat Afghanistan in their previous match. "We would've bowled first as well due to the dew," stand-in skipper Tom Latham said.

At least eight Georgia Republican electors present that day have agreed to testify in exchange for immunity from state charges. The meeting was led by David Shafer, then chairman of the Georgia Republican Party. But halfway through the meeting, Shafer noted that Still’s name was printed as the secretary on documents. A Georgia Republican Party website raising money to defend electors calls them “patriots who served." Lawyers for the indicted electors argue it was up to Congress to determine which slates should be counted.

Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra smashed rapid unbeaten centuries to set up New Zealand's successful pursuit of a 283-run victory target, which they reached with 13.4 overs to spare. Ravindra's unbeaten 123 off 96 balls, studded with 11 fours and five sixes, earned the 23-year-old player-of-the-match award on his World Cup debut. New Zealand lost Will Young for nought in the first over but Conway, who smashed a career-best 152 not out, and Ravindra turned the heat back on England with their free scoring. Ravindra, who shared unbroken 273-run partnership with Conway, took one delivery fewer to notch up his maiden ODI hundred. New Zealand rested Williamson (knee) and fast bowler Tim Southee (thumb) to give them more time to recover from surgery.

New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra achieved that difficult feat with his dream World Cup debut against England on Thursday. The 23-year-old made an unbeaten 123 off 96 balls against the defending champions to help secure New Zealand's nine-wicket rout at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Ravindra was thrust into the limelight when stand-in skipper Tom Latham introduced him to bowl the 17th over of England's innings. That would have been improbable had Kane Williamson, New Zealand's regular captain, recovered from a knee injury. "He is unfit so luckily enough, I got an opportunity," Ravindra said of his experience of batting at number three.

Roblox introduced Immersive Ads earlier this year with two initial formats. Image Ads are non-clickable static images that appear within a Roblox experience, while Portal Ads are images with a door that teleport users to other Roblox experiences and games. Roblox developers earn a portion of the revenue generated by Immersive Ads in the form of Robux, Roblox's in-game currency. Roblox has said it plans to open up the Immersive Ads self-service ad platform to more advertisers later this year. Alongside Immersive Ads, marketers can work with Roblox to create their own virtual experiences in the platform.

CNN —Trump-era Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark cannot move his Georgia election subversion case from state to federal court, a judge ruled Friday. All defendants in the Georgia case – including Clark, Trump and Meadows – pleaded not guilty. The three fake electors – former Georgia GOP chair David Shafer, sitting Georgia state Sen. Shawn Still, and former Coffee County GOP chair Cathy Latham – have pleaded not guilty. Lawyers for the three fake electors clashed with Fulton County prosecutors at a recent hearing about where their case should be tried. Several struck cooperation deals with prosecutors last year, and Willis said in a recent filing that at least four uncharged fake electors would be witnesses at trial.

Benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury yields hit a 16-year high of 4.508%, later trading at 4.48%, while 30-year yields hit their highest in a dozen years. The Fed revised downwards its unemployment rate forecast for next year, and if the U.S. economic data continued to improve, it would put "upside risk" on interest rates, making the need for a soft landing all the greater, Osman added. ATLANTA (AP) — Lawyers for three Georgia Republicans, who falsely claimed that Donald Trump won the state and they were “duly elected and qualified” electors, are set to argue Wednesday that criminal charges against them should be moved from state to federal court. Shafer, Still and Latham have all indicated in court filings that they will not be present in court for the hearing. If their cases are moved to federal court, a jury would be drawn from a broader and potentially less Democratic pool than in Fulton County alone. Prosecutors allege that Shafer, Still, Latham — and the other Georgia Republicans who participated in that plan — “falsely impersonated” electors. They argued in court filings that “contingent electors” are not presidential electors — either the contingency is met and they become presidential electors or it is not met and the losing candidate's electors have no role.

CNN —The Fulton County special purpose grand jury investigating former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss in Georgia recommended charges against 39 people, the unredacted grand jury report made public Friday shows. The lengthy list of recommended charges underscores how widespread the special grand jury’s investigation was into efforts to overturn the 2020 election. The indictment also included 30 unindicted co-conspirators alleged to have taken part in the conspiracy, including some people the special grand jury recommended charges against. The special grand jury report was only a recommendation, and the district attorney decided which charges to bring to a grand jury last month before the indictment was returned. The charges against the fake electors were among the most contested in the special grand jury report.

CNN —Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and five other defendants charged in the election interference case in Fulton County pleaded not guilty Tuesday and waived their arraignments in new court filings. Jeffrey Clark, a former Justice Department official who is similarly seeking to move his case to federal court, also pleaded not guilty in a court filing. He also urged Georgia state lawmakers to appoint fake GOP electors to replace the legitimate slate of Democratic electors. Another has an ally in Congress vowing to support his legal defense. On Thursday, Trump’s legal team formally asked a judge to sever his case from his co-defendants who want a speedy trial, according to court filings. The prospect of a costly legal defense has prompted some defendants to find other ways to raise money. Paying the legal bills of his co-defendants in Georgia could help the former president keep them all unified as they fight the Fulton County charges. None of the defendants has pleaded guilty, but it is common for criminal defendants facing mounting legal bills to end their cases without the time-consuming costs of a trial.

Mark Meadows wants his criminal case moved to federal court, under an Obama-appointed judge. A federal judge may be more sympathetic to arguments that he's immune from the case, experts say. Meadows, Clark, and several other defendants have asked to have their cases removed to federal court. "A federal court judge might be more sympathetic to some of their federal constitutional defenses that they might want to raise," Ratakonda told Insider. A state court proceeding would also take in jurors from Fulton County, which voted overwhelmingly for Biden in 2020.

This will be the first time that substantive arguments will be made in court about the four criminal cases brought against Trump this year. While he may still face an uphill battle to move his case, Meadows is “uniquely situated” in Willis’ case, said Steve Vladeck, a CNN analyst and professor at the University of Texas School of Law. The orders the judge has already issued have hewed tightly to the relevant statutes and case law, and he has moved the proceedings along efficiently. According to the grand jury indictment, Meadows arranged a call between Trump and Watson, and texted Watson himself to offer Trump campaign funding toward speeding up a ballot review in Fulton County. Willis also subpoenaed two lawyers who were on the Trump-Raffensperger phone call on Trump’s behalf: Kurt Hilbert and Alex Kaufman.

No defendants have entered a plea in the Georgia case. The federal officer removal law protects people from state prosecution for carrying out official federal duties. Legal experts said the accused acts in the Georgia case are more plausibly related to official duties than the hush money payments in the New York case. Legal experts said Jones could allow the case to proceed in federal court and address immunity at a later hearing. If he determines immunity did not apply to the accused actions, the jury trial would take place in federal court, with the broader jury pool.
