CNN —Crouching in the brush of Kenya’s Ruma National Park, award-winning conservation photographer Anthony Ochieng Onyango eyes what he’s spent a year looking for – the roan antelope. It’s estimated there are only 60,000 of them left on the continent, and as of July 2021, there were only 15 living in Ruma National Park, according to the Kenya Wildlife Service. Belarus' leader Alexander Lukashenko asked Russia to defend it if attacked, state media reported. The embattled leader asked Russia to protect his country "as its own territory." Lukashenko met with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in Minsk on Monday, according to Belarusian state-owned news agency Belta. In the meeting, Lukashenko requested that "in case of aggression against Belarus the Russian Federation protects Belarus as its own territory," the outlet reporting him as saying. Belarus has avoided committing troops to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, but has aided it by training Russian troops and allowing Russian use of its military bases.

Daines, whose account was reinstated hours later, told reporters that Elon Musk called him. Musk tweeted, apparently in reference to the Daines incident, that Twitter "will be broadly accepting of different values."

Scientists also believe ankylosaurs could have used their weapon-like tails to assert social dominance, establish their territory or even while battling for mates. Royal Ontario MuseumThese tails measured up to 10 feet (3 meters) long, with rows of sharp spikes along the sides. The tail’s tip was fortified with bony structures, creating a club that could swing with the force of a sledgehammer. Instead, the pattern looks like the result of receiving a forceful slam from another ankylosaur’s tail club. The Zuul fossil is currently kept in the Royal Ontario Museum’s vertebrate fossil collection.

The magnificent "Super Tuskers" of Tsavo National Park are an increasingly rare sight. “There are approximately 25 individuals left in the world, most of which reside in the Tsavo Conservation Area. “A future where there are no ‘Big Tuskers’ in Tsavo is not worth thinking about,” Kyalo says.

Some experts are critical of the plan, saying it's more like a large "zoo" than a wild population.
