Debuting his new line at New York Fashion Week on Friday, Gurung said a trip home helped connect him to his roots. After attending a 10-day silent retreat on the suggestion of his mother, Gurung wanted to recreate the starlit nights he experienced there for his runway show. NYFW will end on Feb. 15 after over 70 designers present their collections.

Jimmy Alexander, creator of Los Angeles-based brand All Beneath Heaven, was making his fashion week debut. New fashion brand Cross Eyed Moose, from One Jeanswear Group, is hoping to take over the accessible premium market. During NYFW more than 70 brands will be showcasing their autumn/winter 2023 designs around the city, from Feb. 10 until Feb. 15.

Feb 9 (Reuters) - Over 100 puppies from around the United States and Caribbean have suited up for the 19th annual Puppy Bowl that will air opposite of the Super Bowl on Sunday. This year Warner Bros Discovery's (WBD.O) the Animal Planet network worked with 67 shelters from 34 states and the Caribbean island of Dominica. “They've got Tom Brady, we've got Tom Barky, they've got Jalen Hurts, we got Taillon Hurts. And of course they have Josh Allen, we have Josh Allen Hounds,” said Schachner. The Puppy Bowl will be simulcast across Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, TBS, Discovery+ and HBO Max beginning at 2 p.m.

Jan 26 (Reuters) - Personal items once owned by Elvis Presley are expected to fetch big bucks when they come up for auction this week. The nearly 40 lots from Presley include a jacket designed by the man behind his famous jumpsuit and cape, a well-loved briefcase, and an address book filled with his handwriting, expected to bring in over $10,000. The address book featured "the people that he really was closest with and connected the most with," said Kruse GWS auctions founder and lead auctioneer Brigitte Kruse. "We actually have some of his personal notes (in the book), which we're going to leave as a surprise for the winning bidder." Also included in the "Artifacts of Hollywood & Music" sale on Jan. 28 are items from Marilyn Monroe and Liza Minnelli - plus Rock Hudson's dog's Christmas stocking.
