According to a statement released late Friday, McMahon stepped down from the board of directors at WWE's parent company, TKO Group Holdings. The WWE board began investigating allegations that McMahon paid off accusers for their silence following his resignation as CEO. TKO Group Holdings referred Business Insider to McMahon's statement.
