"We share our experience in simulating materials for very specific application areas with IBM, and in return we gain deeper insights into the power and applicability of quantum computing including hardware," Bosch Chief Executive Stefan Hartung said. Overall, Bosch is investing 10 billion euros ($10 billion) in digitalisation and connectivity by 2025, with new technologies focused on sustainability and mobility accounting for two-thirds. DraftKings said the expansion of its online Sportsbook product, launched in September, will help drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention. Revenue for the period rose to $502 million, which was higher than the $437 million Wall Street expected.

Last year was the 12th consecutive year spirits have taken away market share from beer in the total U.S. alcoholic beverage market, according to a report earlier this year from the Distilled Spirits Council, a national trade organization. The beer category, which includes hard seltzer, accounted for 42% of the U.S. beverage alcohol market in 2021, while spirits accounted for 41%, according to DISCUS. At this trajectory, spirits are pegged to overtake beer in market share in the next few years, even though beer sales have grown. The downward trend of beer market share has also been reflected on the online ordering and alcohol delivery platform Drizly.
The New York Post's website and Twitter account were hacked Thursday, as racist and sexually explicit headlines about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and President Joe Biden were published. A New York Post spokesperson confirmed in an email to CNBC that the posts resulted from a hack. Representatives for the president, Ocasio-Cortez and Adams didn't immediately respond to requests for comment. Content management system Wordpress, which enables publishing to the New York Post site, didn't immediately respond to comment, either. The company, which also uses WordPress, suspended its website immediately.
After a six-year hiatus, Rihanna is set to release new music for the forthcoming Marvel sequel "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever." The song is a tribute to actor Chadwick Boseman, who starred in the original "Black Panther" movie and died in November 2020 at age 43 after a yearslong battle with colon cancer. The song was co-written with Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Gransson and "Black Panther" director Ryan Coogler, according to Disney-owned Marvel. "Rihanna has been an inspiration to me, so hearing her convey this song is a great honor," Tems added. The soundtrack for "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" will be available Nov. 4.

Canadian cannabis company Canopy Growth said Tuesday it's consolidating its U.S. assets into a new holding company to speed up its entry into the U.S. market. The company said the creation of Canopy USA will help it reduce costs and tap into the U.S. market, which is projected to be more than $50 billion by 2026. Spirits giant Constellation Brands , which acquired a stake in Canopy Growth in 2017 for $190 million, said it will convert its existing common shares in Canopy into new exchangeable shares, which it said will protect shareholder value while retaining its interest in Canopy through non-voting and non-participating shares. Constellation said in a statement that the transition is aligned with its decision to focus on its core beer, wine and spirits businesses. "We believe that the conversion of our ownership interest will maintain Constellation's ability to realize the potential upside of our investment in Canopy," said Constellation's CEO and President Bill Newlands.

AMSTERDAM, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal on Friday sprung some surprises as he named a 39-man preliminary squad for the World Cup in Qatar next month. Mitchel Bakker, Xavi Simons and Micky van de Ven were named for the first time while uncapped Sven Botman, Jeremie Frimpong and Pascal Struijk, who have received previous call-ups, were also included in a list dominated by nine players from Dutch champions Ajax Amsterdam. All World Cup-bound teams are required to select between 35 and 55 players in a preliminary list by Friday and it is from this list that they must make the final selection of 26 by 1800 GMT on Nov. 14.
