Sohn suggested that investor appetite for stable income products has grown in part because of this year's narrow market leadership. That's leading some experts to recommend actively managed strategies, which represent 23.3% of all flows into equity and income products this year, according to data from Strategas. House Republican leaders expect to vote next week to formalize their impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, they said Tuesday. Even if the House were ultimately to vote to impeach Biden after an inquiry, the Democratic-controlled Senate would not vote to remove him from office. The real risk of a House impeachment is that it could distract the White House and put the president on defense ahead of an election year. The subpoenas are "illegitimate," the White House argues, since the House has not voted to formally authorize an impeachment inquiry. "The Republican House Majority has so far refused to take" that step, wrote White House counsel Richard Sauber in a letter Friday to House Oversight Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio.

Small cap stocks are undergoing a resurgence, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management is looking to capitalize on it through the exchange-traded fund space. One, believe it or not, is small cap core," Brendan McCarthy, the firm's managing director of exchange traded funds, told CNBC's "ETF Edge" on Monday. "This is our first active small cap ETF, and that's very much on the back of investor demand." It's called the Goldman Sachs Small Cap Core Equity ETF and it's up almost 8% since its early October launch date. The association, a trade union which advocates for press freedom, called for friends or relatives with information to get in touch. Chan is a highly regarded journalist in Hong Kong and among international audiences who closely follow China news. China ranks 179 out of 180 in the 2023 RSF World Press Freedom Index. It is the world’s largest captor of journalists and press freedom defenders with at least 121 detained, according to the organization.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Jim Leyland left his living room in Thornburg, Pennsylvania, and had gone upstairs to lie down, convinced the call to Cooperstown wasn't coming. Hall chairman Jane Forbes Clark was on the line and Leyland had been voted in, two weeks shy of his 79th birthday. Leyland coached in the Tigers minor league system, then started managing with Bristol of the Appalachian Rookie League in 1971. The Pirates sank from there following the departures of Bonds and ace pitcher Doug Drabek as free agents, and Leyland left after Pittsburgh’s fourth straight losing season in 1996. But the Marlins sold off veterans and tumbled to 54-108 in 1998, and Leyland left for the Rockies.

CNN —House Speaker Mike Johnson said Saturday he believes Republicans have the votes to launch a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. “I believe we will,” Johnson told Fox News of a GOP-led impeachment inquiry.
