But the reality for every promoter is that in the world of fickle fans you now need to "Entertain to Survive". Last year the Miami Grand Prix was the hottest ticket in South Beach and, while resale demand has softened, this year's race is again a sellout with 90,000 attending Sunday's race. While the grand prix is the anchor for a weekend of fun, the races themselves are no longer enough to make the event a financial and commercial success. Hard Rock alone hosts three of Florida's biggest sports - the Miami Grand Prix and the Miami Open tennis as well as being home to the NFL's Dolphins. Miami debuted a new driver introduction to the grid that F1 says will be used at eight races this season.

He could not open Lucknow's innings in the run-chase but came out to bat at number 11. "After careful consideration and consultation with the medical team, it's been concluded that I'll be undergoing a surgery on my thigh shortly," Rahul wrote on Instagram. Lucknow are second in the IPL standings with 11 points, one behind leaders Gujarat Titans who have a game in hand. The surgery will also rule Rahul out of the WTC final against Australia at the Oval from June 7-11.

Over nearly a half-century, Carl Icahn has shaken up Wall Street as a corporate raider and activist shareholder, making corporate titans bow down to his demands and change their business strategies. But on Tuesday, his publicly traded company, Icahn Enterprises, became a target of Hindenburg Research, the short seller firm that has made its name in recent years by taking on the Indian tycoon Gautam Adani and the Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey. Hindenburg accused Icahn Enterprises of being overvalued. The company trades well above its net asset value, unlike similar financial vehicles run by William A. Ackman and Daniel S. Loeb. “Icahn has been using money taken in from new investors to pay out dividends to old investors,” Hindenburg wrote in a public report.

In reply, Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya made an unbeaten 59 off 53 balls but Delhi's lion-hearted bowlers restricted the champions to 125-6 to secure a shock five-run victory. "Okay, Ishant just bowled the best knuckle ball wicket I've ever seen," tweeted former South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn. But Ishant bowled a nerveless final over, dismissing Tewatia and conceding only six runs to secure Delhi's third win in nine matches. His clever use of wide yorkers made it difficult to hit boundaries in the final over. "I was practising bowling wide yorkers in the nets with the new ball.
This corporate greed has got to go!”Similar scenes of solidarity unfolded across the entertainment capital. The streaming giant, for instance, has become known for “mini-rooms,” which is slang for hiring small groups of writers to map out a season before any official greenlight has been given. Because it isn’t a formal writers room, the pay is less. Writers in mini-rooms will sometimes work for as little as 10 weeks, and then have to scramble to find another job. (If the show is greenlit and goes into production, fewer writers are kept on board.)

When the players were shaking hands Kohli appeared to have a blunt exchange with Lucknow bowler Naveen-ul-Haq and was then confronted by Gambhir. Kohli, 34, initially looked like he was trying to reason with Gambhir but the conversation became heated and the pair, who previously clashed in a 2013 IPL match, had to be separated by team mates. Gambhir, 41, was fined 100% of his match fee for breaching the tournament's code of conduct, organisers said in a statement, with Kohli handed a similar fine. Lucknow skipper KL Rahul hurt his hip while fielding and could not open the innings.

It’s a story about my mother, and the White relatives who shunned me at birth—and still somehow became family. I now know one of the reasons my family didn’t tell me about my mom’s illness is because they didn’t know how. I vividly recall thinking as I looked at my mom: I didn’t know a White person could suffer like this. I saw White, Black, and brown people hug and call each other “brother” and “sister” after worship service.
