Popeyes is expanding its menu beyond chicken sandwiches — and it's a permanent change this time. The fast-food chain announced Wednesday it's adding five chicken wing flavors to its menu nationwide, with three debuting at Popeyes for the first time, beginning Wednesday. The flavors include Honey BBQ, Roasted Garlic Parmesan, Signature Hot, Ghost Pepper and Sweet 'N Spicy. "We know our guests want even more bold Louisiana-inspired wing flavors to choose from and are excited to see our new wings line-up take flight." Siddiqui added that the Ghost Pepper wings were an "overnight success" when tested at locations earlier this year, and the Sweet 'N Spicy wings have been the chain's best-performing product since its chicken sandwich.

CNN —Libertarian Javier Milei’s victory Sunday in Argentina’s presidential run-off contest has far-reaching consequences for the country’s struggling economy, including the fate of the peso. A political outsider who ran on a promise to “break the status quo,” Milei’s economic platform rested on a desire to dollarize the Argentinian economy. Dollarization means the country would give up the Argentine peso and use the US dollar as its currency. Milei’s proposal to switch Argentina’s currency from the peso to the US dollar rests on the argument that the dollar is stronger than the peso and, unlike the peso, cannot be printed at will. WASHINGTON, Nov 13 (Reuters) - U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson's plan to avoid a partial government shutdown secured tentative support from top Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer on Monday, even as some of Johnson's hardline Republican colleagues pushed back against it. Without changes, the Texas Republican said he would oppose efforts to bring the bill to the floor. The bill is intended to pressure the House and Senate to agree on spending bills for fiscal 2024 by the assigned dates. Johnson warned Democrats that House Republicans would impose a full-year CR for 2024 "with appropriate adjustments to meet our national security priorities" if Congress fails to reach agreement on full-year spending. Failure to hit that benchmark led to McCarthy's ouster, but some House Republicans suggested Johnson deserved more time.

In the days after Oct. 7, Mr. Biden had the opportunity to shape Israel’s response by publicly defining what kind of actions the United States would, and would not, support. A carrot-and-stick approach could have either improved Israel’s actions or distanced the United States from a costly failure. Mr. Biden recently said “there’s no going back” to the prewar status quo. To have any odds of success, the United States will have to threaten to reduce military assistance and political support and act accordingly. Don’t count on Mr. Biden to change.

One of the first major tests for Johnson will be whether he can even pass a procedural vote for the spending bill known as the rule. McCarthy passed the last short-term spending bill under a suspension of the rules, a decision that ultimately cost him his job. Over the course of the last week, House Republicans have struggled just like they did under McCarthy to unify on spending.
